Lawak Hari Ini

Lawak hari ini. Mari kita lihat badut-badut yang beraksi menghiburkan hati yang gundah gulana:

Badut No. 1: Reezal Naina Merican – Presiden Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS)

Lawak Beliau :

GPMS Desak DAP Mohon Maaf Kepada Sultan Perak

Naib Ketua Pemuda ‘Parti Elit’ Bahagian Pasir Salak, Khairul Azwan Harun (Badut No. 3) berkata:

psss: fuh.. lawa iklan-iklan kat tepi blog tu tanpa ‘kaki’. LOL! Terima kasih NoktahHitam atas tunjuk ajar.

Pimp My Blog O Invisible Pink Unicorn??

I lost my watch. Yes, I LOST my watch! I went back home from work last Thursday, wanted to open my room windows. When I unlocked one of the window and pushed it out using my left hand, the watch on my wrist ‘collided’ with the window grill and it just slipped off, down to the ground, 16 floors below. I went down to look for it immediately. There is a small garden/green area exactly below my unit – the place where I thought my watch dropped. I searched for watch for nearly half an hour and I gave up.

The watch is nowhere to be seen, I looked like a fool squatting down there ‘flipping’ the grasses, looking up at my unit and trying to estimate the trajectory of a dropping watch, calculating the wind speed and the weight of the watch to gauge where it possibly landed. No, I never do any funny calculation to look for the watch hehe. (Maybe I should???)

I search twice, maybe more at the area. Friday and Saturday, heck now every time I pass by that area I will stand there and try to see the ‘gleaming’ watch hahahaha! Too bad, it is nowhere to be seen. I do not even know if the watch still there or somebody found it. The watch is not cheap, if pawn it can feed me for 2 months

Anyway, things come and go. I learnt my lesson, need not to say. Oh, I truly understand the meaning of looking for a needle in a haystack now :???:

***************************************************************

I messed with the blog layout, changed and tweaked few things. It is getting boring looking at the same layout and seeing your friends’ blog getting a makeover. If you are observant enough you will notice some of the changes; other than the obvious changes of background and font colour, font type, borders etc.

1. I installed the threaded COMMENT box so you can reply to any commenter if you want to do so, email will be sent to you if anyone reply to your comment, how cool is that? 😛 So you are forced to come back and have a look at what he/she/it says.. Muahahaha! Yes,  I very much appreciate those who will drop comment after reading my blog. At least tell me my entry is boring, sucks so I have something to read. Right?:grin:

2. I changed the plugin for recent comments, I got it from NoktahHitam. I can’t help but envy his new theme haha so I curi curi copy some of his things.

3. I put in the navigation for ‘previous entry’ and ‘next entry’ for the single post. If you are in a single post, you will see on top the post, there are links to the next post and previous post.

4. I added Twitter Updates to the blog so I can do short updates on the go for this blog. I already signed up for it quite some time, since I started blogging in my old wordpress.com blog I think. Since NoktahHitam, Melbie, Man-D, Nono, Ah Lost and other friends also ‘twitting’ now, it is like having a small chat room for ourselves 😛

It is a good tool to keep your friends updated on you. Perfect for narcissistic suckers! You can get my updates at here or you just check the ‘Wazzupp!!’ box on your right. Get yourself a Twitter and join in the fun!!

So any comment on the changes I did? Do you like my choice of colour, font? I totally art-blind, not an artsy guy so I appreciate any comment

***************************************************************

I hate Mercumaya.net! I spent last 2 days working on my blog and I was fed up with the pathetic server. The server damn lousy, every now and then down, disturbing my work especially when I wanted to apply or view the changes I have done, it is so farking annoying. Grrrr.. :vangry: :vangry:

***************************************************************

Ehem, I have a new religion and I am the prophet. See what I did in Facebook? We were discussing about Scientology, Tom Cruise, Ron L. Hubbard etc. and a friend came up with this. I then wrote a note and post it on my profile

The Religion of the Invisible Pink Unicorn

Thou shall not question how unicorn can be pink when is invisible. That shows lack of faith in the creator.

Thou shall not forcefully impart religion onto others.

Thou must be narcissistic.

Thou must be nihilistic.

Thou must be hedonistic.

Everyone is born bi-curious.

Ps: Chian, I am recruiting for the religious hedonistic dirty dancing ritual. No need to thank me. Phew, being a prophet is a hard job! ROTFLMAO!

So anyone want to join? The best comment I received for the note:

Praise be to the Almighty Pink Unicorn! Hallejujah Long Live Invisible Pink Unicorn!

AIPU AIPU AIPU AIPU AIPU (Almighty Invisible Pink Unicorn) Chant this 5 times a day, 10 times each and you will receive nihilistic, narcissistic blessings including all things hedonistic from the honourable creator Himself! May his force be with us all…Praise be to our AIPU.

YOMEN.

Ok we are crazy bunch of friends joking around, please do not take it seriously..

I am going for a short break, away from this blog starting tomorrow. I will still check on the comments and do short updates using Twitter. May the Force be with you!

Love No One – Selfish?

I mentioned somewhere in Mar’s blog : Love is selfish. Let me explain why I think so.

1. Love me because I love you.

It is selfish to love people and expect them to love you back. Unconditional love. That is what you want to give him/her and what you want from him/her. People should give without wanting anything in return. Right. All other giving is selfish. By wanting her to love him in return, is not it selfish?

2. Loving someone is selfish.

Why? When you love a person, it means that you value that particular person, that he or she makes your life better, that he or she is an intense source of happiness and joy to you. You love someone because he or she is a value, a selfish value to you, as determined by your standards just as you are a value to him or her.

One will say in order to love, you sacrifice your time, effort and money to make it work and that is a selfless thing to do. :???: Well, the time, effort and money you spend on behalf of someone you love are not sacrifices, but actions taken because his or her happiness is crucially important to your own. Such actions would constitute sacrifices only if they were done for a stranger or for an enemy.

3. Experience love, it is the most selfish experience possible.

Yes, it is the most selfish experience possible. In the true sense of the term, it benefits your life in a way that involves no sacrifice of others to yourself or of yourself to others. When in love we feel that only both of us (or three or four? ) should exist in our own selfish space. We guarded the precious space jealously from others.

Love is a selfish emotion. One do not share his/her love for his/her other half with his/her friends or closed ones. Other emotions like happiness, sadness, frustration can be shared with friends/closed ones, but not the very love a person shares with his/her special one.

4. Love changes a person to be selfish

Love teaches you to be selfish. Emotions like possessiveness, obsession, jealousy sprouted from love albeit those are extreme forms of it. You cannot love someone by being neutral, you must be selfish.

5. Unconditional love

Is it possible for a person to love without wanting love back? Is anything so pure? Love is far too precious to be offered indiscriminately. Love represents an exalted exchange, a spiritual exchange between two people, for the purpose of mutual benefit. Pure love? Unconditional love? It is what we all are searching for but I think it only exists in soap dramas and movies. (Korean dramas especially. Muahahahaha!)

Conclusion :

To say ‘I love you’ one must first know how to say ‘I’.

Love, friendship, respect, admiration are the emotional response of one man to the virtues of another, the spiritual payment given in exchange for the personal, selfish pleasure which one man derives from the virtues of another man’s character. Only a brute or an altruist would claim that the appreciation of another person’s virtues is an act of selflessness, that as far as one’s own selfish interest and pleasure are concerned, it makes no difference whether one deals with a genius or a fool, whether one meets a hero or a thug, whether one marries an ideal woman or a slut. — Ayn Rand

What do you think? Shoot!

ps: Theme song for today is…

Alicia Keys – No One

I just want you close
Where you can stay forever
You can be sure
That it will only get better
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don’t worry ‘cuz
Everythings gonna be alright
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all I know is everything’s gonna be alright

No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I’m feeling
No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
You you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you

When the rain is pouring down
And my heart is hurting
You will always be around
This I know for certain

You and me together
Through the days and nights

I don’t worry cause
Everythings gonna be alright
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all I know is everything’s gonna be alright

No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I’m feeling
No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
You you
Can get in the way of what I feel

I know some people search the world
To find something like what we have
I know people will try
Try to divide
Something so real
So till the end of time
I’m telling you there is no one

No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I’m feeling
No one no one no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
Oh oh oh…

pss: I expect feedbacks from the girls.. :XO:

Panic! @ the Blog

Noktah Hitam is revamping his blog theme. I am thinking to do the same too, but I have lousy IT skills so forget about it muahahahaha! Sticking too long to one theme is kinda boring. I love this Black and White theme very much. Simple and neat and customizable really, just me not so good in doing it without messing the whole layout . I am thinking to put up a banner for this blog, see if I know my way around the codes

I edited my old banner* using Paint.

I was shocked yesterday when I cannot access my blog in the evening. :!: At first, I thought the server was down again (damn it! :vangry:) so I check Cibol’s and Melbie’s blog because they are using the same hosting provider as mine. Their blogs were accessible! Then I tried to log in the WordPress admin page and was greeted with a message – ‘The database is outdated. Please update bla bla bla’. :vangry: Cheebuy! I just upgraded my WordPress to the latest version last week, damn I must did something wrong during the installation? So I googled here and there, pm-ed few friends.. went to the Cpanel to check the codings (I tak paham sangat pun..) and I messaged Noktah Hitam on Gmail. He was not around to reply at that time, so I continue to do what shits I also had no idea at that time.

Then maybe because of divine intervention, I could access the main page again! Hurray!! Finally!! Wait… I couldn’t access any of the blog entries. I could see only the main page, but when I clicked on the entries, I received another stupid message ‘Page not found bla bla bla’. :vangry: I keep on trying and clicking like a mad man. Imagine the frustration.. it is like a boxer trying to scratch his itchy balls but he cannot.

End of the story, when I was about to give up (I was thinking, fark it! Just start from scratch again lah! I still have the backup for some entries.) suddenly all went back to normal. Relieved!!  Noktah Hitam replied me in Google Chat then asking what was wrong but I said nothing wrong, everything is good now.

Conclusion :

1. I still have no idea what happened.

2. I still have no idea what I did or did not to solve it.

Moral of the story :

1. Do backup of your blog.

2. Do backup of your blog.

3. Do not panic. Wait for few hours, go watch movie, oogle at chicks, grab a coffee what ever then come back and check again. Most of the time this thing happens due to crappyshittysmellyrottenfuckup server problems.

ps: sorry, emoticons overdosed, couldn’t resist.

*old banner done by Lola.

Emoticons Overdosed

I am in love with Noktah Hitam’s emoticons! :XO: I see many bloggers also using the emoticons. I think the emoticons are so damn cute and irresistible so I decided to use it on this blog  Lawa giler!!!!! Cool blog must use cool emoticons hehe! Apa tunggu lagi! Cepat dapatkan emoticons anda sekarang!

ps: Thanks to Noktah Hitam for the cool emoticons!

pss: You guys can get the cute emoticons at here

Quest for Sarawak Food?

Malaysians are suckers for food. They are very patriotic and jealously proud of their homegrown food. When they travel to other places for studying or working, the only thing they miss back home is food, not their friends or parents. Whenever they are outside of their hometown, if they happen to find or hear any eatery selling their homegrown food, they will jump to the earliest chance to taste the food and wear the hat of wannabe food critics.

When there is a discussion among friends from different places on food, the arguments never end. Penang-kias and char bors will forever say Penang food is the best in the world, their Laksa Penang is the sedap-est, Ipoh-mali leng cais and leng luis will say Ipoh food is the best in the universe, their Ipoh chicken rice is so damn tasty, Ampang people will say their Yong Tau Fu is the best you can find in the galaxy and not forgetting Sarawakians will say Laksa Sarawak juak lah sedap gik (still the one more tastier) and Kolo Mee pun sedap juak… (also tasty) because Sarawakians are modest people, they do not brag about how great their food is in the world or whatever shits… Ha! Ha! Ha!

So when I heard this phrase ‘Best Kolo Mee in KL’, I was damn excited and decided to give it a try? You see, I came across many eateries here in Klang Valley claiming they are selling authentic Kolo Mee, Laksa, Tomato Mee, Kampua Mee etc.. but honestly I yet to find any that is trust-able to dish out a ‘decent’ original version. Maybe the weather and surrounding here also play some factors to make the food taste uniquely ‘Sarawak’. (More trees in Sarawak, probably fresher air?? ROTFLMAO!) Ha! Ha! Ha!

Location : Restoran 2020, Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur

How to go there : Go to The Store Pandan Indah, the restaurant is directly opposite, facing A&W 🙂

Food : Kolo Mee

Photos :

The Stall

The Specimen

Verdict : Presentation is good, looks authentic with the ‘correct’ type of noodle used. Hey, some stalls selling Kolo Mee or Kampua but yet they are using different type of noodle! Original my foot! Different type of noodle sure give different taste le mah! Try making Laksa Penang and put yellow noodles instead of rice noodles. It is like selling Ipoh Chicken Rice without the bean sprouts lah! Get it? 🙂 No fancy fancy toppings like prawns, vegetables bla bla. Kolo Mee is should look just like that. Plain and boring.

Just like how it is served in Sarawak, this stall got it right by using seasoned cut chillies as condiment with the Kolo Mee. The red chillies is served in vinegar. It adds to bit sour and hot taste for Kolo Mee. (But I never bother to mix the chilies with my Kolo Mee lah hahaha!) I cringed whenever the stalls here serve ‘sambal’ or cili padi with the Kolo Mee. WTF?

I was slightly disappointedly with the taste. It could be because it was served a bit too wet and less oily than it should be hence the taste not really there. When I said wet, means after you finished eating the Kolo Mee, there are leftover ‘gravy’ in the bowl. The ‘authentic’ version when you finished it, nothing is left in the bowl except for the shining, oily bowl. Gravy? No no.. definitely zilch amount of gravy/water should left in the bowl (except for your saliva?).

The sweet taste you get when you eat Kolo Mee was lacking too. I must praise the effort of the stall’s owner using ‘authentic’ Kolo Mee noodle anyway, I asked him where he gets the noodle and he said he made it himself. Cool! The noodle itself, the ‘elasticity’, the ‘crunchiness’ and the texture resembles the Kolo Mee you eat back in the Land of Hornbills 🙂 He probably should read this blog to improve a bit his Kolo Mee and ‘Best Kolo Mee’ title will belong to him kah! kah! kah!

Conclusion : Stingy me will give 6/10 for the above Kolo Mee.

Anyway, one thing to note, do not waste your time and money to eat your hometown food elsewhere and save your curses. For these so called “where where where” food, the taste is actually altered to meet the local people taste buds. (How to survive if they just open the stall for you Sarawakians? Penangites? Ipoh-mali?) If you tried the Penang prawn mee and Penang Char Kueh Teow in Sarawak, those actually can not be considered as the food from Penang, because the ingredients and the way they prepared it is totally different.

So if you really miss those food back home, you better look up for some friends from hometown who are going to your place to tapau (take away) it for you. Even though it will turn cold when it arrived on your hand but I am damn sure it still taste better than any that you can find in outside your hometown.

Then again, we just love to try anything that they claim to be from our hometown and then bitch about it right? Bitching is healthy, it keeps you occupied. 😛

Beatles – A Hard Day’s Night

It’s been a hard day’s night, and I’ve been working like a dog
It’s been a hard day’s night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright

You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it’s worth it just to hear you say you’re gonna give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, ’cause when I get you alone
You know I feel okay
When I’m home everything seems to be right
When I’m home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
It’s been a hard day’s night, and I’ve been working like a dog
It’s been a hard day’s night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright

Owwww

So why on earth should I moan, ’cause when I get you alone
You know I feel okay
When I’m home everything seems to be right
When I’m home feeling your holding me tight, tight, yeah

It’s been a hard day’s night, and I’ve been working like a dog
It’s been a hard day’s night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright…

Sekian terima kasih. Enjoy your weekend!!!!
