7th May, Go Black! All Black Thursday!

Imagine 7th May, and Malaysians from all walks of life, from Johore in the south right up to Perlis way up north, and our brothers and sisters in East Malaysia, at the train stations, bus stops, markets, offices, eating stalls, shopping malls, all dressed in black!

Imagine the youth, flash-mob style, turning fast food joints and shopping centres gloomy with their black attire!

Imagine the foreign and online media reporting how Malaysians turned out in full force throughout the country, all dressed in black wherever they were, to send a clear message to Najib and his cohorts in BN :

WE DO NOT APPROVE OF WHAT YOU HAVE DONE IN PERAK. RESTORE POWER BACK TO THE PEOPLE NOW OR BE PREPARED TO PAY DEARLY.

It will not take much for you to be a part of this effort.

You do not have to give up a day at work.

Heck go to work and get your colleagues to join you.

Make the effort now to call up at least 10 people you know and urge them to turn Malaysia black this 7th May.

Together, we can do it!

ps: Please forward this.

ps: Songs with ‘Black’ in its title, I love…

Experience Lomorgasm!! Get your Lomo now!

Everyone is crazy about DSLR camera now. Every blogger I know is either having one, dreaming of getting a new one or add a new one to their collections. Big toys are addictive, so I heard. Not mentioning the price. The lens can be used for car loan down payment, lol!

Er, cheapo blogger like me, still using my camera phone to take photos hahaha! Well, food photos and camwhore photos only lah! Bringing such a big toy to a kopitiam and shoot, sometimes yours truly thinks is a bit overkill Nevermind that later you would resize, compress and upload to Flickr.. or you have no idea how to do the photo-chopping but just apply  ‘auto colour’ each and every time. Haha! Oops!

Move over DSLR. I am getting a Lomo~! WTF is a Lomo? A homo that went through lobotomy procedure? A quote from Wikipedia on lomography:

Lomography emphasizes casual, snapshot photography. Characteristics such as over-saturated colors, off-kilter exposure, blurring, “happy accidents,” and alternative film processing are often considered part of the “Lomographic Technique.” Users are encouraged to take a lighthearted approach to their photography, and use these techniques to document everyday life…..

Check out this video on the golden rules of lomography. It’s really that simple.. the tagline is ‘Don’t think, just shoot’. Here are some photos taken using Lomo’s Fisheye – ripped from RasMhd’s albums.

Other being able taking cool and fun photos, this camera’s bling bling look can just be used as er.. body accesories? Imagine rap and hip hop moguls.. with bling bling Lomo’s Fisheye hanging on their necks.. LOL!

Eheh! An idiot and a lazy bum like me who doesn’t know shit d lazy to learn about the control aperture, shuttle speed, ISO film speed, yellow light, overexposed bla bla..  this is just a perfect toy for me! Freestyle shooting is here to stay!

What are you waiting for? RasMhd at Picuclix.com is rolling out his first batch of Lomo cameras with Lomography Madness Sale. Go and get yours now while stock last!!

YB (Yang Blur) Shabudin Yahaya sure can bark..

Popular English idiom touches a nerve

The use of the popular idiom ‘Barking up the wrong tree’ touched a raw nerve with an Umno assemblyman who thought that the idiom referred to a person as an animal that barked.

Shabudin Yahaya (BN – Permatang Berangan) exchanged barbs with state executive councillor Phee Boon Poh, who had earlier used the term when explaining statistics on hardcore poor families to Jasmin Mohamad (BN – Sungai Dua).

Barking denotes an animal. I disagree to you using this idiom when speaking to the Sungai Dua assemblyman,” said Shabudin while interjecting during Jasmin’s debate on the motion of thanks on the Yang di-Pertua Negri’s opening speech yesterday.

Phee retorted that Shabudin, who is also state Islamic Religious Council chairman, did not understand the idiom.

“You (Shabudin) are barking up the wrong tree with your accusations now.

“If you do not know the meaning of this idiom, how can you serve as a YB (elected representative)?” asked Phee.

Shabudin argued that Phee was the one who was barking in the hall.

Later, outside the hall, Phee told reporters that he did not think it was derogatory to use this idiom when speaking to someone, including a Muslim.

He stressed that the literal meaning of idioms should not be taken.

1. Eh, please lah. Human barks too. Shabudin just did that.

2. Which part of the meaning ‘idiom’, ‘peribahasa’ or ‘simpulan bahasa‘ he doesn’t understand? Masuk kandang kambing mengembek, Masuk kandang lembu menguak, does that means he’s a kambing or lembu? Seperti anjing menyalak bukit, does that means he’s a dog? How about bagai babi merasa gulai? Bagai badak berendam? Bagai anjing dengan kucing? Bagai katak bawah tempurung? Which one is insulting and which one is not?

3. Nincompoop. Rot and die, idiots.

Right Round, Rais Yatim!

Pak Rais Yatim is truly brilliant. He’s coming up with the suggestion for 1Malaysia theme song, to make us all excited and horny about the latest slogan in Bolehland! This is the missing ingredient to promote ‘patriotism’ among Malaysians! Hail Pak Rais, our new spinmeister for the discovery!

Contest for 1Malaysia song

KUALA KLAWANG, 27 April 2009: The Information, Communication and Culture Ministry will launch a contest to identify the best composer for the 1Malaysia song.

Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said just like other songs that inculcate patriotism in their composition, especially songs like Budi Bahasa Budaya Kita and those that promote reading, the ministry also wanted the 1Malaysia song lyrics to attract listeners.

“God willing, I hope we can get a good response from composers and we hope to pick the best composition,” he told reporters after attending a dinner hosted by Kelab Rekreasi Warga Tua, Kuala Klawang here last night.

Dr Rais who is also Jelebu Member of Parliament said the song would represent all races.

The 1Malaysia song, to be in composed in Bahasa Malaysia, would be widely aired on all TV and radio stations according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s wishes.

Music is the food for the soul, nothing wrong with the suggestion. After all, I bet my last cent many youngsters are jumping in their pants excitedly after watching the retarded catchy National Service (Khidmat Negara) extremely inspiring music video.

Hey, it got me thinking  about National Service, wanting to join them. to bash the idiots when I have the opportunity. They must have done something right there. What? The original song is by Dead or Alive – You Spin Me Round (Like A Record). Here’s the original video. I think I like the old music video, but with the latest remake. HA! HA! HA!

We should butcher the song and get say.. Mawi featuring Rais Yatim to sing it? Er, Mawi is still famous right?

I’ll do the chorus only for now.. and the rest, give me some time lah! Or, give me  a hand would you?

ps: Erk, I just realised, the song should be in Malay. Arghhh.. nevermind I’ll find one later. HAHAHA!

pss: Our leaders seem have this misguided notion of patriotism. Sad.

psss: Actually this post is just to promote the Right Round song, but turned into some kinda crap.. again.

Maybe tonight.. just tell me where and when..

I was chatting and listening to some songs on Yahoo Launchcast last night. Then I heard this song…

I can watch this all day….

When I first heard of her voice, without checking the song title and artist I thought.. “Ugh.. Amy Winehouse. Nice song. Nice voice. Fugly hair. Fugly tattoos. Fugly face. Fugly body.” WTF gossip tabloids want to write or tell something like ‘Amy Winehouse gets naked?’ Anybody wants to see? Ugh! I saw the news on ‘Today’ panel when I logged in to my MSN and NO! I didn’t check it out.

Well, she’s not Amy Winehouse because Amy Winehouse does not look that good. Har! Har! Har! Her name is Nicole Atkins. According to Wikipedia:

Nicole Atkins (born October 1, 1978) is an American singer-songwriter best known for her work with the band Nicole Atkins & the Sea. Her sound is known for its mix of traditional vocal styles and introspective lyrics. She has been compared to Roy Orbison and singers from the Brill Building era, as well as more contemporary artists like Jenny Lewis. Atkins has called her work “pop-noir.”

I was busy checking out her videos on YouTube this morning. I love her voice, a lot!

Maybe Tonight (again!! :P)

The Way It Is

Neptune City

Nicole, let me your sea.. I’ll drown you with my love, just sing for me, ah!

ps: Two things about the ladies that I always pay attention to. Voice. Smell. Whiff of love.. scent and attraction definitely works on me. Hmm, I found out that I love the smell of Escada perfumes, because I ever asked few girls that smells good to me (this sound so wrong.. erk!), what perfume they are wearing, and  most of the time, the answer is Escada.

pss: So if you are not confident with your look, smells good will do. Bind my eyes..

psss: No NH, you still cannot have MD. Mine. All mine.

pssss: Have a blast partying tonight, party animals! Have a wonderful weekend, friends and foes!

Bangkitlah rakyat Malaysia!

Bangkitlah rakyat Malaysia!

(Rais Yatim, sila ambil perhatian)

Politik perkaumanan, pecah dan perintah and opportunis

Oh jap, patut buat tajuk tu, Bangkitlah Melayu Umno! baru sesuai.

psss: Kuih bangkit sedap!

I agree with you Rais, your propaganda machine (Read: MSM) are so fucked up!

Rais Wants Private TV And Radio Stations To Make Changes

JELEBU, April 19 (Bernama) — Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim has urged private television (TV) and radio stations to change by putting national interest above commercial value.

He would be meeting the management of private TV and radio stations soon to bring about changes as they had failed to deliver the government’s aspirations resulting in Barisan Nasional’s (BN) poor performance at the general election last year.

“People will not blame the private TV and radio stations if they had complied with the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.

“This will not arise if the Act is followed. There are stations that do not carry messages good for nation building,” he told reporters after a cultural function at Simpang Pertang near here Sunday.

Rais however did not totally blame the media as they had been very helpful to BN over the years.

He stressed that the changes to be made by the private TV and radio stations would not affect them commercially.

“I will be looking at the role of television and radio stations in nation building. There are 34 radio stations under the government.”.

Rais said the ministry would find new ways to deliver the government aspirations to the people.

“We will look at utilising mobile phones by using SMS messages to help in nation building,” he said.

Asked about the decision to return the Bahasa Malaysia news on RTM1 to its 8pm primetime slot, Rais said it has to be done as lots of complaints were received after it was shifted to 9pm.

“Going against what the public wants is not good for a government TV station,” he added.

It is hard to agree with what an blithering idiot has to say, but I’ll make an exception today.

Rais Yatim, I AGREE wholeheartedly with you that private TV and radio stations AND paper media that you successfully whipped into submission to be part of the government’s propaganda machine had failed to deliver the government’s aspirations resulting in Barisan Nasional’s (BN) poor performance at the general perfomance last year!

Sack the editors! You know why? Because they still FAIL! After Muhyiddin Yasin blamed the media for misquoting, misinterpreting, mistranslated his ‘Chinese are ungrateful’ statement, now The Star and Utusan Malaysia seem to be trapped in confusion. Poor MSM.

Jambatan bengkok wajar dibina – Shahrir

(Utusan Malaysia, 19 April 2009) – Ahli Parlimen Johor Bahru, Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad berkata, jambatan bengkok menghubungkan Malaysia-Singapura wajar diteruskan.

(Utusan Malaysia)

Shahrir against crooked bridge, prefers better ties

(The Star, 20 April 2009) – Johor Baru MP Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad is against the revival of the crooked bridge project and has instead proposed that both countries work together to build a straight one.

“It has come to my attention that many Johoreans are hopeful that our new prime minister and Cabinet will revive the crooked bridge project. The public must understand that bilateral ties between both countries will suffer if the project is revived,” he said, adding that the Malaysian Government should consider all implications when reviewing the project.

(The Star)

ps: I am so glad I have another idiot to bash after Syed Hamid has retired. We never short of idiots running this country.

pss: So, according to Rais, it’s everybody’s fault that BN lose its 2/3 majority at the general election last year but BN. Great huh? I bet this is the best post mortem done by their experts.

psss: I am not sure whether Rais thinks this piece of shit is part of his ‘messages for good nation building” idea.
