Who Is In Your Heart?

Tired of writing non-stop for the past few days 😀 (Yes! At here and at Facebook discussion board lol!) Kita lepak dulu, dengar lagu. (Let’s chill, listen to a song) This is one of the song that I will not forget. I don’t know why, it just embedded in my head and just that day flipping the tv channel, I saw the singer performing the song, and I stopped to watch. Hehe!

I heard of the song maybe back in primary school? That was when I was studying at SRK Abang Haji Matahir, Sarikei. I grew up listening to Malay songs, (serious!) then I went to Kolej TDTH Bujang, Miri (Form 1-5), I exposed myself to English songs. Chinese songs? Er, well I only have the chance to listen to Chinese songs during the period I was in university, UTM. Hahaha!

I want to laugh watching the video clip because it is so ‘classic’ and the lyrics really jiwang karat (literally translated as rusted, touchy, melancholic romantic feelings? LOL! I need help here, what is jiwang karat in english?) Wey, these songs were hits back then!! These songs have distinctive sound which separates them from the rest hehe~! You will find that they use a lot of minor chords in their songs back then. Listening to the song gives you the feeling of hopeless-ness (got this word?), lost in love.. something to soothe your heart when you just broke up (Er, sorry.. yesterday still wishing everyone Happy Valentine’s day, now talking about lost of love.. and break ups) Eh, I typed too much! All these just for an introduction to a song… Ah!

Rahmat – Siapa Di Hatimu (Who Is In Your Heart -ROFL!!!!!)

p/s : all light, jolly posts before the real battle.. 😛

Cooking for Valentine?

Today is the Valentine’s Day. Well, I think it is overrated, too commercialised and I refused to be sucked into celebrating it. (Actually nobody here with me to celebrate it sob.. sob..) Everything is super expensive, hotels and restaurants dishing out promotions at inflated prices, florists make their big buck and 7-11 selling condoms like crazy on this day??? LOL!

I mentioned before I enjoy cooking. Maybe if my partner is around, I will prepare the most special dish for her, follow by great humping session for the rest of the night. Oh yeah!!! LOL! Why need to spend so much outside when you can have your own candlelight dinner at home?

Er, I am not cooking anything special for today because if I will only end up stuffing myself full 😛 But I just want to share some photos I took during CNY. (Again! Still in CNY mood mah! About to enter election mood soon :D) These are the food I prepared when staying with my friend, simple dishes that I normally do when I have the time to do it.

Here in KL being alone, I do not have the desire to cook things except for occasional fried rice or fried noodle. Nobody appreciate your cooking if you are eating it alone hehe. It is best if you have friend eating together then you get to see the happy faces complimenting your food (if it is good) and not so happy but still buat buat happy faces complimenting your food (if it is bad…. ) haha!

Preparations and cooking :

Chopping the onions

No idea what is this sayur. Makan jer

Sayur midin (wild fern)

What the fish!!

Ready to steam

I put in whatever i can find in the kitchen 😛

Dump in the chicks..

Ready to eat :

Sayur entah apa (I don’t know what vege) with eggs

Wild fern lightly fried with belacan

Soy sauce chicken (Ayam masak kicap)

Chicken soup with bamboo shoot

Steamed fish

Are you feeling hungry now? 😀 Home cooked food is the goodest!

Today is also the ninth day of Chinese New Year. The ninth day is traditionally the birthday of the Jade Emperor. This day is especially important to Hokkiens and Teochews where they will offer thanks giving prayers to the Emperor of Heaven. Those who celebrating the night, enjoy your time with your loved ones. And not forgetting, to all the happy love-birds out there, Happy Valentine’s Day to the couples out there and for the losers singles, Happy Single Awareness Day~!

Parliament Dissolved!

LATEST!!Parliament dissolved, elections on

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has announced that Parliament has been dissolved, paving the way for the 12th general election.

At a hastily convened press conference at his office Wednesday afternoon, he said he had met the Yang Di Pertuan Agong in the morning and received His Majesty’s consent to dissolve Parliament.

“I’ve informed Parliament and the Election Commission,” Abdullah said. The state assemblies have also been advised to dissolve.

The Prime Minister declined to speculate on what date Malaysians would cast their ballots, saying that it would be up to the Election Commission (EC) to decide.

“I am confident of winning, and I hope that we will retain our two-thirds majority,” he said.

The battle begins!

p/s : The sleeping PM had so much cheap fun keeping the public from guessing the election date heh? Yesterday when interviewed, he boldly said ‘Apa? Esok tak ada, banyak lagi mesyuarat kabinet perlu dibuat’ (What? Not tomorrow, still many cabinet meetings to be carried out). Pftt! Cakap tak serupa bikin. What he said yesterday? The Star today reported : ‘Parliament won’t be dissolved today, says PM’. What a great leader!

Beautiful Kid(s)!

Before I went back for Chinese New Year, I wrote a post on things to do during the holidays here. Reading that post, it seems like the whole idea of going back hometown for CNY holidays is to stuff my stomach LOL! Well, what you expect? We all miss home cooked food and local delicacies very much and we jump at any given opportunity to be able to taste it again right? 🙂

I just came back from Kuching yesterday. Today is the first day I am back to work after away for 2 weeks. The office still pretty much empty, many still on leave. Honestly, I am still in the festive mood. I miss the cheerful atmosphere, the people and of course the food! Only during holiday season like this, I get the chance to meet my family, relatives and catching up with old friends. It is always fun and the most anticipated moment during the period. I made many new friends this CNY, awesome feeling 🙂 Cheers to that yeah!

I love kids. They are innocent, sweet, cute, carefree and they love ask many questions, show you things they have, what they learned and always try to impress you haha! Hmm, when you reminiscent about time when you were a kid and wish badly you can turn back time, you are getting old tch tch tch..

Man-D asked me to post up more photos. These are the some photos I took during CNY using my lousy Sony Ericsson K618i so the quality is not so good and I am lazy to photochopped it. Bah! Better than nothing right?

My uncle’s little daughter, 8 months old 😀

My sister’s son – 3 years old (oh his nickname is Bengbeng as well lol~!)

Little Bengbeng is posing (Not that Uncle Bengbeng hor..)

Little Bengbeng is so happy to receive an angpow! (not from me la, obviously.. me still eligible to get angpow hehe!)

I can see my face!!!

Still a kid after all 😛

Sibu-licious

I wrote this in the the bus just now, using my mobile on my way back from Sibu to Sarikei. It was so boring sitting in the bus, so I thought writing a blog post to kill time would be great. I finished the post, but couldn’t post it up due to lousy connection along the way. I took the 8am bus from Sibu (Bengbeng and Cibol sent me off) and reached Sarikei at 10am. Then got another bus to catch at 1pm to Kuching, and now I am in Kuching! 🙂 Monday morning will fly back to KL and back to slaving my ass. How sad 🙁 Well, forget about that 1st. Let’s talk about happy things..

I had a wonderful day in Sibu! I reached Sibu yesterday evening around 5pm. It was raining heavily when I reached, but it never spoil the cheerful mood meeting up with Bengbeng and Cibol who picked me up. Cibol has been whoring his ass at Bengbeng’s place since 1st day of CNY if you didn’t already know. We had some drinks and then proceeded to Bengbeng’s place where I met Mrs. Bengbeng (thanks for the wonderful dinner!) and Beng Hui, Bengbeng’s son. Beng Hui is a very smart and playful kid, no wonder Bengbeng talks about him all time hehe. (Hey, go to sleep early, or else you will not look handsome like Uncle Cibol muahahahaha!)

We later met up with other Sibu big shots like Clare, Wongpk, Clement and Natalia. The biggest (literally :p) celebrity in Sibu, Suituapui couldn’t make it because he is in Penang comparing the taste of laksa penang and laksa sarawak. (Sorry Suituapui, I heard you ter-bite your own lips probably when we mentioned your name last night haha!) We ordered kong pia, satay and chicken but couldn’t finish it. I was so full from the CNY non stop eating lol! In the end we forced Clement to finish it hehe! Clement, you are the man! We later went ‘pai nien’ (CNY visiting) at Natalia’s house. Cibol ‘sempat’ to show off his singing and guitar playing skills. He was the superstar for the night haha! Rock kapak dude! lol!

Thanks Natalia and family for having us. I love the wine haha! Me, Cibol and Bengbeng later went back to Bengbeng’s house and we chit chatted till 2.30am? So many things to talk, yet so little time. I would like to thank Bengbeng and family for having me at his place. Bengbeng is a wonderful host, such a nice and sweet guy and a loving father 🙂 I have to say, it is a great pleasure meeting you guys, I was having great time hanging out with Sibu people!

Wongpk : too bad you cabut early for the movie, halfway we busy oogling Sibu hot chicks. So how was CJ7?:p

Claire : glad to finally meet the kampua queen haha! Didn’t get the chance to eat a plate of kampua with you leh? Hope to see again in KL perhaps?

Clement : nice finally meeting you man!

Natalia : so, you are the LittlePrawn aka Cucumber aka Melon? Nice to know you and thanks for the wine haha! :p

Cibol : er, nothing to say to you lah dude, you not important haha! Keep me updated on your KL trip dude 🙂

I need a good rest now. Tired from all the traveling, eating and talking. Gong Xi Fa Cai people!

Some photos from the meet up :

p/s : I noticed Bengbeng already put up a post regarding the bloggers mini gathering, you may have look at his post here. He put up more photos and some videos of Cibol entertaining the ladies 😛

Updated : I decided to pimp the video of Cibol singing here 🙂

Enough? & Gong Xi Fa Cai!
