As you do so, you notice that the gentleman starts watching you intensely. He stares as you open the box and his eyes follow your hand as you pick up the cookie and bring it to your mouth. Just then he reaches over and takes one of your cookies from the box and eats it!

You’re more than a little surprised at this. Actually, you’re at a loss for words. Not only does he take one cookie, but he alternates with you.

For every one cookie you take, he takes one.

Now, what’s your immediate impression of this guy? Crazy? Greedy? He’s got some nerve?! Can you imagine the words you might use to describe this man to your associates back at the office? Meanwhile, you both continue eating the cookies until there’s just one left.

To your surprise, the man reaches over and takes it. But then he does something unexpected. He breaks it in half, and gives half to you.

After he’s finished with his half he gets up, and without a word, he leaves.

You think to yourself, “Do this really happen?” You’re left sitting there dumbfounded and still hungry. So you go back to the kiosk and buy another box of cookies. You then return to your seat and begin opening your new box of cookies when you glance down into your traveling bag.

Sitting there in your bag is your original box of cookies — still unopened.

Only then do you realize that when you reached down earlier, you had reached into the other man’s bag and grabbed his box of cookies by mistake.

Now what do you think of the man? Generous? Tolerant? You’ve just experienced a profound paradigm shift. You’re seeing things from a new point of view.

Is it time to change your point of view?

Now, think of this story as it relates to your life. Seeing things from a new point of view can be very enlightening.

Bear with me, incessant ramblings of things happening during the weekend.

Last Friday night, I met up with some friends from my Facebook Group. We had drinks and chit chatted from 10.00pm till 4.30am in the morning. Then went back sleep for a while, 5.30am fetched housemates and friends to LCCT. They are in Sabah now, climbing Mount Kinabalu. Yes I told some of you I would go for the trip but I cancelled it at the last minute due to some personal reasons. (lol.. what an excuse!) Never mind, maybe next time haha!

Came back from LCCT around 7.30am, went to sleep and woke up at 12.30pm. Then went to KL Sentral to wait for Cibol to go to Sepang International Circuit to watch the qualifying race at 2pm-3pm. But…. Jeng jeng jeng… We ended up at Roy’s place, playing PS2 Winning Eleven, don’t ask me why 😀 Yes, we didn’t go for the qualifying session. We battled it out on the virtual field instead 😀 I love Winning Eleven (now known as Pro Evolution Soccer 2008), it is my favorite game, I think I am quite good at it hehe. Anyone is up for a challenge? *Wink!

Saturday night I went to a good friend’s house warming makan-makan session at Kinrara. I was green with envy! When lah is the time for me to have my own shitting place? The next day early morning I went to KL Sentral . I almost forgot to bring the F1 tickets, was rushing to reach KL Sentral by 10.00am. Met Cibol there, we took the commuter to Nilai then boarded the bus to Sepang International Circuit. The place is damn crowded with people and cars!! It is reported that this year race attracted the biggest crowd since 10 years of hosting F1 race.

The 10th edition of the Malaysian GP marked a milestone when it breached the 125,000-spectator mark for the first time. A total of 126,690 fans thronged the Sepang F1 Circuit. Last year’s event attracted 115,000 people while the inaugural race in 1999 drew about 80,000 fans. – The Star

Petronas petrol station opposite the circuit – Look at the cars. All the roads, both directions from LCCT and KLIA to SIC jammed with cars. Lucky didn’t drive there.

It was fantastic to actually be there at last, when all this while I was following the race through the television set haha! You get to experience the monstrous sound of the car engines, it is so loud and deafening, you think your skull is splitting that you must wear an ear plug or else you can’t enjoy the race. (How to enjoy if you end up covering your ears with your hands all the time :P)

Ehem.. I was there??

Close your eyes and picture this – You get to see the sexy curves…, hearing the purring sounds… witness the fast, zipping in and out, non-stop actions…. and it goes on for 2 long hours.. how cool is that? I was referring to the cars lah.. what do you think?

F1 drivers parade in vintage cars

We left the circuit before the race was over, (Kimi Raikonnen was leading at that time, after Felipe Massa spun off on 30th lap) because we didn’t want to get caught in the jam. This time we took a bus to KL Sentral. A little ‘argument’ happened when we bought the tickets, I was pissed off at this one uncle for trying to charge us RM10 for the trip to KL Sentral. The bus would go to Puduraya and on its way would stop at KL Sentral, he said but he charged us the price to Puduraya. Only when I went to the opposite road and another ticket seller told us it was only RM8 to KL Sentral, and RM10 is the price to Puduraya I get pissed off and went back to look for the uncle..

Me : Uncle, I want a refund. I don’t want to take your bus. I only need to go to KL Sentral, not Puduraya.

Uncle : This bus is going to KL Sentral. And we cannot return the tickets we already sold.

Uncle : We only have RM10 tickets. I cannot do refund.

Me : Well, in the first place, you lied to me about RM10 is to KL Sentral, that’s why I bought the tickets from you. You were asking me to pay extra for the trip I don’t need and never told me RM10 is to Puduraya. I don’t mind to board your bus, but I will only pay RM8, the price to KL Sentral.

Guess my botak look and pierced lips make me look scary and probably not someone to mess with, (ha! ha! ha!) After a little heated ‘argument’ he reluctantly gave us back the money and we returned the tickets. So we got our RM8 tickets from another bus company!! 😀 Oh yeah, you guys should know by now, Ferrari- Kimi Raikkonen 1st place, BMW Sauber – Robert Kubica 2nd place and McLaren – Heikki Kovalainen 3rd place.The rest not worth the mention 😛 Bad day for McLaren. Sigh!

The Iceman

Sunday night, big games – ManYoo vs Liverpool and Chelsea vs Arsenal. Watched the games with Cibol, Roy and Stef at Roy’s place. Stupid Liverpool played kanasai and lose 3 goals to ManYoo. Lousy Reina, macam tangkap ayam only. The second game, no need to mention lah! Gloat all you guys want. There will always be next year. ROTFLMAO!

I went to Taman Paramount to eat roast duck rice yesterday with housemates and friends. I went there once, not a fan of duck meat but since it is another makan-makan session I happily joined them 😀 The shop name is ‘Sunrise’ (what a name!). If you come from SS2, Mobil petrol station on your right, take the left turn at the traffic light. Go straight to the end of the road to till you reach the traffic light and you will see a Shell petrol station on your right, make a right. At the next traffic light, you will see a KFC outlet on your right, turn right. The shop is along the shop lots in front of the KFC outlet. (Pheww.. hard to give directions in words..)

Waiting for the food

We ordered 1 and ½ duck

Look at the perfect dark golden brown color crispy duck skin and the soft, tender meat. Sinfully fattening!

You can order extra skin if you love to eat the duck skin (I don’t..)

The duck meat taste is okay, tender and soft and you do not get this pungent smell normally associated with duck dish. I just think the sauce that comes with the roast duck taste like crap. Maybe they just put soya sauce, added with water and that’s it, no signature duck rice taste where you normally get at other duck rice shop. The dish also comes with a bowl of soup. I have no idea what is the soup. I took a taste – too sour-ish, a bit sweet, and salty?? WTF is that? I didn’t bother to drink it, the taste just bit out of the world.. haha!

Last, a photo of me camwhored. Er, I forgot to take photo eating roast duck rice, but this will do haha! Taken when dating Mary and Alice last Wednesday night *wink wink! I am one lucky monk! 😛

p/s : One question, duck consider an animal that live both on land and in water not? I heard Muslims do not eat duck. But duck is not really living in the water and on land like crocodile and frog? (rephrased after i mentioned crocodile is amphibian hahahaha! dumb me!)

Prologue

The co-op was crowded with hungry students. Nub was standing nearby, behind Zaki thinking of what to eat. “Give me 2 curry puffs, 2 nasi lemak ayam and 2 cokes”, Nub heard Zaki barking his order to Limas. Then he saw Zaki gave Limas RM5 for the payment.

“What is with the funny smile on his face??” Nob couldn’t help but curiosity got into him. Silently he observed the drama happening in front of him. Limas took the money, turned and went to the cashier machine, put in the RM5 and extracted out 3 RM10 notes and some coins and gave it back to Zaki.

“What??!!!! Hey!! 2 curry puffs – RM0.40, 2 nasi lemak ayam – RM2.40 and 2 cokes – RM2.40, total RM5.20!!”

Nub was pretty sure he saw Zaki gave RM5 note to Limas. Something fishy is going on. “I must confront Zaki and Limas at the hostel later”, Nub reminded himself.

Good thing is Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, one of the few politicians I respect a lot is in the list. The rest? Pretty much the same, old ministers still there, only switched their ministry. Pak Lah, are you deaf or still sleeping? The guy with two Muhammad aka Mike Tyson in his name still there!!!? Nazri Aziz is still given the license to bark?? Azalina Othman as Tourism Minister!!!!? Shafie Apdal?? (With so many screw ups on the shortage of goods, and funny pricing – cooking oil, flour, chicken, etc he is still there???), Hishammuddin? Are you joking? With his fetishes to short sharp weapon (read = keris) and all the ‘good’ things since he is became Education Minister, he is still there???? Oh wait, maybe because Malaysia now officially have a student that scored 21As? Wahhh!! That is so impressive!! Should go for Guinness World Records 🙂

That is it. ‘SAME SHIT DIFFERENT DAY,’ served by Pak Lah to Malaysians. Anyway I am very baik hati (generous/kind) today, so let’s give this new cabinet a chance. Let them prove their worth. After all we are giving Barisan Rakyat (BR) a chance. 🙂

He probably blog about it soon so I do not want to spoil the fun, let him tell the story on how we won the tickets.

2 tickets to watch Formula One race!!!

I went to Berjaya Times Square on Saturday afternoon to meet Cibol. I didn’t get to meet him since he came to KL last Monday. I was supposed to pick him up from the airport, but.. (ah not important..) TraxxFM was organizing an event at the main entrance of Times Square and we were nearby at Starbucks. Thanks to Suituapui for informing us about the TraxxFM event. Yes, Suituapui is a loyal listener to the radio 😛

Mag and Bongkersz!

So I was there with Cibol hoping to catch deejays from TraxxFM especially Pat and Mag from In the Afternoons.Suituapui, Melbie, Man-D and Cibol are the regulars, always sending in their dedications when Pat and Mag are on air. We were standing near the entrance to the mall, and Mag first approached us, made a small talk trying to get us to join in the fun. Then she asked “Do you guys listen to TraxxFM?” I laughed and said “Er, I am Botak Bong and this is Cibol” (Thanks to Suituapui and Melbie for sending in many song dedications to “Botak Bong”. LOL!!!)

We then met Pat, took photos with them and chatted for a while. It was great, they were happy to see Cibol and first sentence Pat said to him is “Welcome to KL” Haha!! We also took some photos with other deejays!! (I don’t have the photos because I didn’t bring any camera that day) We were too excited after winning the F1 tickets and forgot to use my handphone camera to take some photos. Probably when they posted the photos up at their website, my botak face will be there?:P
