“Mom, I want to be a Satria Baja Hitam!”. “No son, you must be a dentist.”

Ladies and gentlemen,

It’s Friday. Let’s have something light today.

Let’s talk about career. Do you love your job? Is it what you wanted to be? Do you still remember what you wrote for the essay ‘My Ambition’ when you were in primary school? Do you remember when you told your mother,  “Mom, I want to become Satria Baja Hitam when I grow up.” *doing that hand pose thing* Your mom laughed and said “No dear, you can’t be a Satria Baja Hitam. I think you should be a dentist.” And you asked, “Why mom?” which your mother replied, “Because dentists make good money“.

Tendangan Padu Maut!!

Let’s talk about marriage. Life partner. Do you love your partner? Is she/he who you wanted to be with? Do you still remember want you wrote in your little diary  “I want to marry a rich man” or “I want to have a pretty and sexy wife”? Do you remember what your mother told you? “Boy boy, when you grow up and you want to find a wife, go to Kajang.” And you asked, “Why mom?” which your mother replied, “Because people in Kajang have beautiful teeth“. You then asked, “But mom you are from Sekinchan?” which your mom replied, “That’s why your mom doesn’t have nice teeth.”

ps: I’m in the wrong field, because obviously the kid in the conversation above was not me. I want to earn RM56,000 a month pulling teeth! An implant alone can net me RM40,000! Sob sob sob.. I’m missing out all the good things.

pss: No offence to Sekinchan people. Laugh lah a bit.. if you have beautiful teeth..

pss: Satria Baja Hitam was my favourite 4pm show last time. And Gaban.

Tired of this Science and Mathematics crap. Nincompoop politicians, go fuck yourself.

Where should I start? I don’t really know. I’m not very sure.

Our politicians are treating us like punching bags. We are receiving blows after blows, damaging us inside out to the point we are either half dead, paralysed and unable to respond or become immune to the situation that we no longer have any sense of feeling. We no longer care. We get disheartened.

Not all of us are fighters. Not many of us would fight back. Interestingly, many would just sit there or lie down obediently to receive these punches, citing the lack of resources to fight on equal ground as their reason.

Our politicians are bunch of sickos! Be it from Barisan Nincompoops or Pakatan Rakyat, they are the same, just the level or masochism differs. The pain they would inflict on us still hurt the same way.

Thursday July 9, 2009
Maths and Science back to Bahasa Malaysia (fuck you The Star, at the main page you put this title, but in the inside you changed it to a politically uptight title “It is Bahasa again but more emphasis will be placed on learning English“. Do you need to put that BUT in the title? Lapdog!)

PUTRAJAYA: The Government has decided to reverse the Teaching of Mathematics and Science in English policy and revert to Bahasa Malaysia in national schools and Chinese and Tamil in vernacular schools.

1st of all, fuck you Muhyiddin and other politicians alike.

Stop toying with our children. Pros or cons of this ‘new’ policy aside, what the hell politicians like you that knows shit about education and the hardship of the people at the receiving end, keep changing something of such importance, paramount to the development and the future of our younger generation like changing diapers? Fuck you.

Quote:

Based on studies conducted in 2008, he said, the ministry found that only a small percentage of teachers fully used English to teach the two subjects.

“On average, the percentage of those using English during Mathematics and Science periods was around 53% to 58%,” he said, adding that only a small number of teachers were proficient.

That is because every time the government make a new policy, it is done hastily without proper preparation and studies! Why the fuck these teachers don’t teach the subjects in English when they are tasked to do so?

You fucking idiot, only a small numbers of teachers were proficient because they received lousy, substandard education that didn’t put strong emphasize in English when they were studying! That is why we have only 19.2% of secondary teachers and 9.96% of primary teachers were sufficiently proficient in English. Ain’t that pathetic?

I have to agree with the old grandmaster when he said,

But it’s the Government’s responsibility to train and supply capable teachers. I’m confident that our teachers will be able to study and teach in English.

I have written about this before, the actual problem is not the medium language used for teaching but quality of the teachers we have in my previous English or Bahasa Melayu for Science and Maths? where I opinionated for the implementation to be improved and not a complete U-turn of the policy.

Quote:

But, since we already walked down the lane for the past 5 years, let’s keep it that way and stop flip flopping. it will do no good, this flip flop policies. Be firm. Bahasa Melayu or English? Stick with one.

That said, I am against the decision to gamble our students’ future again by changing it back to Bahasa Melayu. Keep using English as medium for Science and Maths. Just make necessary improvements to the current system. Making an U-turn and start again with a totally new policy, is a waste of time and stupid. Gradual changes to the continuing policies is acceptable, but abrupt change of policies should be avoided.

And here we are, wasting our time and energy again for the sake of political survival? And hey! Don’t you love the timing of this policy announcement? At the dawn of a by election – Manik Urai! Just dig the archives, I bet tons of new policies were announced during elections.

So save it, Muhyiddin. We don’t buy your crap about ‘the reason for the reversal in policy was due to objective considerations and not political ones.’ Why the need for you to stress this if it’s not relevant?

While I agree the proficiency and mastery of English language has nothing to do with learning it in Science and Mathematics, these two subjects – especially Science – rely heavily for information widely available in the medium of English. And fuck it, this country is just not ready to teach Science in English when it only translates all science terms directly (and lamely) from English or making senseless new word.

How are you going to translate those technical terms? I experienced first hand the difficulties to switch from Bahasa Melayu to English when I was in university, where most of the good reference books are in English. Bahasa Melayu technical books are basically just rip off of the original books. The lecturers would ask their students to refer to journals and references, which are written in English anyway.

Not to mention it would take YEARS to write/translate all the books on Science and Maths in Bahasa Melayu. After that the books would be obsolete. Every day, there is new research, explorations, new inventions and other introduced through hundreds of research papers. Do we have the right resources to interpret these materials into Bahasa Melayu? I am afraid not.

A pass in English is not necessary but with the latest change of policy the government would put more ‘efforts’ into improving the standard of the language as reflected in the headline ‘.. more emphasis would be placed on learning English’ so you don’t have to worry about declining standard of English among students nowadays. Trust the government to do the right thing, even when we are not happy with its decision!

Let’s move to bashing the hypocrites. I remember when Mahathir made the policy change to use English as the medium to teach Science and Mathematics, we also have such hoo haa hoo haa like now. And without fail, some kaki bodek fuckers would come out to LOUDLY lend their support, singing praises and glory – “Oh, it’s a wise move. We support bla bla we-love-to-kiss-smelly-asses la la la.” These lalang fuckers are the same people that are singing a different tune now.

Political groups welcome move to revert

PUTRAJAYA: Political groups have welcomed the move to revert the teaching of Mathematics and Science to Bahasa Malaysia.

I don’t have to name the political groups. Without reading the article, just by looking at the title I am sure MCA – Mou Chuntoi Association is one of them and yes, I was right. Dickless pussies. (Yeah, that term doesn’t make perfect sense). Note that you can always find perfect irony in their statements, just like what I posted on George Chan yesterday.

MCA information and communications bureau chief Lee Wei Kiat said the Government’s decision was in line with Unesco’s finding that students could learn the two subjects better in their mother tongue.

“For the past six years, many students were affected by the teaching of the two subjects in English and could not catch up.

“This announcement will ensure that our students are competitive in both subjects,” he said.

Lee said the Government’s policy change in 2003 was “a lesson to learn.”

“Many reports have shown that the Government was not prepared to implement such a policy. Because of that, we have lost so much money.

“Therefore, we hope the Government will thoroughly think over proposals for new policies to avoid making such mistakes,” he said.

Competitive in both subjects by learning it in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and Tamil. Right!

Samyvellu (MIC is Samyvellu, Samyvellu is MIC) of course would never miss out to give his opinion by consistently saying something stupid. Note the part where he said something about performance of students will improve WITH this decision (change to Bahasa Melayu) then “want more to be done to enhance the use of English in schools.”

MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said MIC agreed with the Cabinet decision.

He said the Tamil Schools Headmasters Council has asked for both subjects to be taught in Tamil.

“Lets hope the performance of students will improve with this decision. We want more to be done to enhance the use of English in schools,” he said.

Hey, Hishammuddin Hussein was saying something? Wasn’t he the one that come up with pretty statistics every time UPSR and PMR results were announced during his tenure as the Education Minister? He claimed cows and pigs to show the standards of English, Science and Mathematics are getting better each and every year? Of course he was serving a different master back then.

Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein was confident that a majority of the people would understand the Government’s decision if they looked at the reasons behind the move.

Hishammuddin, who was the former Education Minister, said it was impossible for the Government to expect everyone to receive the decision well.

“It is not a knee-jerk reaction as a result of political pressure,” he told a press conference here yesterday.

He said the ministry started to study the effects of teaching the two subjects in English during his time as Education Minister.

“We have been looking into the grouses raised for many months and even years,” he said.

Just google for the statistics released for the results of both subjects in public examinations – UPSR and PMR and you can be sure that this buggers is a pathological liar!

Still on hypocrites. While these buggers yapping about patriotism, Bahasa Melayu, mother tongue languages, national and vernacular schools and throwing every justifications they could think of, their children continue to get the best education possible, worth every money spent.  The poor and under priviledged will continue to slug it in schools using the medium of instruction which the government had ‘objectively’ considered for them.

Ironically, what our politicians think is good for our students doesn’t seem to be good enough for them. To where our politicians sent their children to? Najib sent his kids to an International School and I am sure that school doesn’t use Bahasa Melayu in their teaching.

I quote a paragraph written by Farish A Noor in his Facebook Notes to illustrate this point.

Quote:

Secondly, one is struck by the most obvious observation that this policy has set back the process of development for scores of poor Malaysian children from every ethnic community, many of whom will remain in vernacular schools while the sons and daughters of the rich and powerful (many of them the brats of politicians, mind you) will probably be sent abroad to study in places like the United Kingdom, United States of America and Australia; where the medium of instruction will be in English. With one bold stroke, we have effectively opened a chasm between the rich and the poor, the privileged and the under-privileged, and in effect created two social classes. One made up of the poor lumpen proletariats who will be reduced to the status of surplus labour in the years to come, and another class of rich, well-connected, foreign-educated Malaysian elites whose cosmopolitan outlook and enhanced educational background will make them global citizens who can and probably will find their fortunes anywhere in the world. What a gift that we have given to the poor children of this country!

Our politicians never take us seriously. To add salt to the wound, some of us never bother to take things serious and dismiss all these as socio-political junks, allowing these ruthless nincompoops running amok with our lives. Or perhaps, it’s just me.

Maybe I should learn not to take thing seriously. It is a known fact that paying too much attention on the socio-political issues in this country is hazardous. You are susceptible to brain damage. You may get stroke or heart attack because of the rising blood pressure. Ah, talking about blood pressure, when I did my medical check up early of this month before I went for the Basic Offshore Safety and Sea Survival course, the BP reading is 140/90. That is considerably high for a young brat like me. I couldn’t find any reason to justify the high reading but now I think it may have to do with me eat, breath and shit too much political craps.

I need to read and write something happy. Or smoke something to make me happy. I’ll be back when I am happier. Take care guys, don’t let the nincompoops bring you down.

ps: NH, nah I blogged about it. Where’s yours?

pss: It’s Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Malaysia? Fuck, can’t even get this right. Read the Constitution, idiots!

George Chan kena swine flu? No wonder he’s talking using his backside. Bangang tahap dewa!

Dr Chan advises public to put off events that pull crowds to confined spaces

KUCHING: Organisers of events that draw large number of people to confined spaces were yesterday urged to postpone their events for the time being due to an increase in Influenza A (H1N1) cases.

“To minimise the risk (of spreading the flu) as much as possible, please defer big events,” Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan told a press conference here.

However, Dr Chan, who is the State Disaster Relief Committee chairman, said the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) scheduled this weekend would go on as scheduled.

“We decided to hold it and the Health Department is deploying staff from the other divisions to have added precautions imposed during the Rainforest (RWMF).

“We will provide festival goers with face masks, clinic facilities and thermal scanner at the venue,” he said.

Last week, Dr Chan said public gatherings and functions in the state could be banned by the government if there was a case of local transmission of H1N1.

He said the ban would be necessary to contain the spread of the disease.

Hey old man, to fuck or not to fuck?

Mastering the art of ‘talking using your backside’ is a must for anyone who inspires to be a politician like George Chan. So, learn from the best!

If you think partying with one hand holding your drink, face covered with mask, thermal thermometer stuck in your ass is fun, then Rainforest World Music Festival 2009 is definitely something to look for this weekend! (July 10 – 12). See you there!

I can’t wait to see photos and videos of the mask wearing crowd dancing to the tune. What an orgy fest!

ps: IMO, I think the threat of H1N1 is overated, exaggerated and blown out of proportion.  But, who I am to say so when WHO claimed otherwise?

pss: Sorry Ladybird, I cannot join you for this RWMF. Thank you very much for the invitation and offer anyway. Have fun!

I think Khir Toyo is innocent. I think Malaysians are bunch of horny bastards.

1. I think Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is better than Transformer 2: Revenge of The Fallen.

2. I think Khir Toyo is innocent.

Reasons?

He’s a hardworking person. Sources close to him said he worked many jobs.

– As a dentist, He must be working his ass off doing part time fixing people’s teeth. Sources from gossip mills said he also offers niche services like gold teeth implant and grills.  He sells his service to rich rap and hip hop moguls and celebritries. Insider source close to Soulja Boy said Khir did his gold teeth. Celebrities are rich. They pay good money. So Khir Toyo get his riches from the celebrities’ money.

– He’s a celebrity himself. His Javenese handsome face, flawless skin and perfect smile win legions of fans. I know a female blogger, always singing praise and glory about him. She went missing in the blogosphere, the last I heard, she’s busy recruiting zombies to this one fan club in her capacity as the president of the fan club. I digress. Back to my point, Khir Toyo is a big celebrity. Celebrities are rich. Like Britney Spears. Like P. Diddy. So Khir Toyo is rich.

– He’s an architect. He’s introducing Balinese influence to spice out our boring architectural industry. Can you see the tempe motives on the walls of his house? The motives on the tiles? Architects are rich bastards. They would draw few lines and charge you till you drop. (Ok I don’t like architects. Engineers tak kawan architects.)

– He’s a feng shui/black magic/pukau/jampi consultant. Er, I should not talk too much about this if I want to continue blogging craps.

– Some other unchecked rumors are: He’s a plastic surgeon, he operates his own face. He earns by working as a crack. He operates on celebrities, making them uglier closer to perfection. A certain celebrity was rumored to be one of his client. That celebrity is dead now. He has undisclosed amount of shares in tempe businesses all over the world. For one tempe you eat, he gets 10sen royalty. I eat tempe. You eat tempe. Khir Toyo is the unofficial spokesperson, face for tempe. Khir Toyo makes money.

Khir Toyo is innocent. Make him our ambassador to negotiate on behalf of this country with Indonesia on sensitive issues – maids, Ambalat, etc. He’s the perfect candidate for the job.

3. I think I am giving Khir Toyo too much blogtime on my blog.

4. I think Malaysians are  obsessed with animals. Pigs. Cows. Bird bird.

5. I think we should be proud Malaysia is ranked 7th in Top 10: Horniest Countries. I’m glad I contributed to the statistics. Top 3 next time people! Gambateh!

6. I think I am horny.

7. I think Sabah chicks are hot and cute to boot!

8. I think I am bored waiting for time to board the plane.

9. I think I am out of idea on what to write.

10. I think that’s it for now.

Roll out, holy buah pala cow pig shit!

I went to watch Transformers 2 – The Revenge of the Fallen last week.

I like

1. Watching Mikaela.

2. Watching Megan Fox.

3. Watching Mikaela.

I dislike

1. Optimus Prime with lips.

2. Some stupid, messy and lousy plots. 2 Allspark pieces, Decepticons steal one and use it to bring back Megatron to life, but Sam needs to run across the world to get what what key and uses that to revive Optimus Prime??

Huh? Oh we have a female robot now? Oozing with sex appeal, straddling your lap without crushing it, so cool!! Reminds me of female robot in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Shagalicious.

Don’t let me start with that geriatric robot.

Too lazy to pick and point out the confusing shits in the movie. It’s just a movie, one with not so good plots.

3. I can’t see shit during the robot fights.

4. US military playing major role defending Sam against the Decepticons? What a brag. A little bit too much over exposed.

Anyway it’s a fun movie to watch, if you are not into anal. I mean, don’t be anal. Er, I rephrase, don’t be an obsessively perfectionist. Oh yea, don’t watch it if you are having constipation. Heard of anal retentive? Okay, lame joke. Friday is the day to be lame, that’s my excuse.

Well, anyone of you want to watch Transformers? I just received something in my email, somebody is offering free vouchers to watch Transformers.

Only 2 tickets/person.

Limited seating.

Very limited.

Watch this one better

Enjoy your weekend!

ps: Malaysian politics so freaking lame I don’t feel like writing about it. Before this cows, now pigs? What next? Chickens? We already have many. I know one Chicken Head – Koh Chi Ken. (read the Chinese name)

pss: Holy Buah Pala Cow Pig Shit!!!!

Sea Survival Course, Ng Yen Yen and UTM cooking a bullshit.

I was away to attend a sea survival training course starting last Monday. The full title of the course is “Combined Sea Survival & Offshore Safety Procedures, Helicopter Underwater Escape Training with EBS and Basic Fire Fighting & Self Rescue (Basic)”.

Damn, it does sounds very ‘canggih‘ (bombastic). Well it’s not. It’s basically a course for those who would need to go to offshore to work where they would be taught basic safety procedures and theories in the class (1 and half day), a one day training in the water and another half day training for firefighting.

Now, when I say in the water and you read ’sea’ somewhere in the first paragraph, some of you must be thinking “Wah do survival training in the sea???” Er, not in the sea but in the pool hehe…

So, what’s so fun about the course? Not much, really. If you consider jumping from a 3m platform feet first into the water, forming survivors’ circle, frolicking in the water with each other while wearing life jacket, escaping underwater from a ‘heli’ in two scenarios – crashing and submerged in the water but not capsized, crashing into the water submerged and capsized as fun, then yes it’s fun.

I love the ‘heli’ crash simulations the best. You would be strapped down in seat belts, wearing survival suit/life jacket equipped with Emergency Breathing System (EBS) which is basically the thing that helps you breathe underwater using your recycled breath. Er, yes, it is something like that. HAHA! I can’t draw shit, so I will try to describe it as simple as I can.

This ‘thing’ has a hose connected to a ‘bag’, mouth piece, nose clips and a simple valve system – where you can set it to open (where you can breathe normally, using the oxygen from the environment/outside) and closed (you breathe using the oxygen inside the ‘bag’. More about that later.) When you need to use it, you take deep breath (after putting on the mouthpiece, nose clips),  put the valve in ‘closed’ position and exhale through the hose connecting to the ‘bag’ and continue breathing using your mouth.

During respiration, we would inhale in oxygen (21%) from the environment, then our body uses the oxygen for many organ activities bla bla bla and we exhale out carbon dioxide, oxygen (16%) and some craps bla bla bla. So this 16% oxygen is the one that we exhale into the bag and reuse when we are under water until it cannot be reused anymore. (16% out of 16% and 16% out of 16% dot dot dot) Clever eh?

Now, imagine sitting in the ‘heli’, when the water raising to your chin/chest, activate the EBS  (this is when you can see some nervous participants, where they activate the EBS alittle bit too fast, when the water just reached their stomach lol!) then breathe underwater  for at least 7 seconds before you unbuckle the seat belts and  escape through the windows. This is the 1st scenario. The 2nd scenario is almost the same but with a little bit twist (literally). When the ‘heli’ hit the water and submerge in it, then it would capsize (the operator rolls the ‘heli’ in the water) and when it stops, only then you unbuckle the seat belts and escape through the window.

Erk, why am I telling you this? What with all the science craps? Damn syiok sendiri lah yours truly nyahahahahaaa!

Well, I was too busy to sit down and write something on this blog. Most of the time, I only checked the comments, new posts on friends’ blogs and the news from my mobile. There are some interesting stuffs to blog about, especially what’s in the news. For example,

A(H1N1): Yen Yen tells media to play down coverage
By LESTER KONG

KUALA LUMPUR: The media should down play reporting of the Influenza A(H1N1) virus as “energetic” coverage of the pandemic flu had greatly impacted tour booking numbers to Malaysia.

Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said Malaysia’s major tourist markets such as China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan had experienced between a 20% and 90% drop in travel bookings to the country in the past two weeks.

Stupid no? This is the kind of people we have in our government. Brain dead ministers. Just the other day we had this one moron insisted to use swine flu instead of H1N1 so it would scare off people. Oh crap! Well, above news is Ng Yen Yen asking the media to spin it like never before, and this is probably an example of a ’spin’.

Woman who died during childbirth a UTM dropout

JOHOR BARU: The woman who was found dead with her newborn baby at a Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) dormitory was a dropout renting a room there.

She had failed the first semester of her fourth year last November, UTM corporate affairs department assistant registrar (media and external relations) Sabri Ahmad said.

“She had been renting a room at the dorm since May 11,” he said, adding that outsiders were allowed to rent rooms at the university on a case-by-case basis.

On Monday, the unmarried woman was found dead after she had given birth to a baby boy. The infant, whose umbilical cord was still attached to his mother, was also lifeless. The bodies were discovered by a warden.

It doesn’t make any sense right? Have you ever noticed the way companies, schools, universities, organisations etc. disassociating themselves from their employers, students, graduates, members in such incidents? In a smaller scale example, perhaps some of us experienced before, where some of our ‘friends’ would feign anonymousity when bad things happened to us so they didn’t have to receive unwanted attentions. Yes, this is how they do it.

Isn’t ridiculous? I am not sure what is the current policy of UTM’s adminsitration but I can be sure when I was studying there, there was no such thing as renting out rooms to outsiders. You couldn’t even bring in your friends, relatives and families if you don’t register at the guard house. In conclusion, no OUTSIDERs are allowed in the campus area.

Now, suddenly UTM has this ‘renting rooms to the outsiders, on at ‘case-by-case’ basis policy? Weird. Why UTM would want to rent the rooms to the outsiders when many of its own students can’t even find a proper place to stay on-campus resorting to rent outside of the campus? This is a very peculiar situation, is this really true?

I smell a stinking, rotten fish. Bullshit never smells better than this. What smell you?

ps: I can’t swim. But I survived. ROTFLMAO! Thanks to the invention of life jacket.

pss: May the poor mother and her child rest in peace.
