Pensioners As Bloggers?

Pahang Enlists Pensioners As Bloggers

TEMERLOH, Nov 23 (Bernama) — The Pahang government has appointed three pensioners as bloggers to thwart slanderous comments and allegations posted on the Internet.

State Information, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin said the bloggers, who would be paid allowances, would be provided with computers and the Internet access in their homes.

The pensioners can capitalise on their experience to explain the actual situation to the people besides providing feedbacks and opinions to the government, he told reporters after attending the Senior Citizens Day organised by the Pahang Chapter of the Malaysian Government Pensioners’ Association here Saturday.

“More bloggers will be appointed. We value pensioners’ thoughts in our efforts to improve the state’s economy and prosperity and unity of the people,” he said.

Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob told the state legislative assembly recently that he was slandered by a blogger.

Aww… This is so cute. They just don’t have a clue, do they?

ps: Uncles and aunties, welcome to the blogosphere where no holds barred!

pss: STP, faster apply! Paid allowance, free computer and Internet access.

psss: No offence to the retirees, it’s just that if the government has problem explaining some of their stupid actions to the people, how can they expect some ex-civil servant to explain on their behalf? Trust Umno  to come up with brilliant ideas.

  1. well…aku rasa camni nanti jadi nyer…apply benda tuh…dapat elaun let’s say RM1000 sebulan…RM 200 bg kat bebudak aspirasi memana kat uni utk tulis artikel kat blog tuh…RM800 wat masuk poket…typical..typical… 😐

  2. I wonder who the three are. Truly deserving people with the right credentials or people with the right connections. When they do such things, I wonder if it’s just whitewash…to pull wool over people’s eyes, or some ploy to give some favoured people a bit of extra spending money…out of the rakyat’s pockets.

  3. menarik.. menarik.. hah ha.. just wonder, what make umno think pensioner will agree with them.. even retired prime minister are no 1 pengkritik di Malaysia

  4. Itu sebab dia tidak diberi elaun. No computers and internet access provided. Ehem, after this the No. 1 pengkritik will stop criticizing, mission accomplished.

  5. People are not that clueless now. They can do what they want, they can engage a battalion of bloggers to write for them. In the first place, nobody is out to be on a specific side, it’s just natural for people to criticize what they don’t like to see, especially when it involves socio-political issues. Most bloggers are not paid write, obviously when money is involved, credibility is often missing.

  6. ni yang best ni. nampak sangat ‘gomen’ takut akan kehadiran bloggers yang kunun nya takder kod etika ketika ber-blog. 😛
