Wan Burger, The Best Burger Stall in Sarikei!

It’s been a while since I posted anything on food,  if you have noticed. Ehem, yes, I did post other stuffs aside from politics. I posted on how to make your own fried popiah, how to fry a nice, delicious looking crispy fried chicken, my slimy experience, cooking simple home food etc. before. Well you can always hop over to Suituapui‘s blog - …Still crazy over food after all this years! for his food posts.

I stopped writing food post after hearing a comment from NH. But today, I’ll make an exception to promote the best burger stall in Sarikei - Wan Burger!

I was back in Sarikei for the long weekend, and managed to drop by the burger stall to satisfy my craving. Dropping by this burger stall for its delicious burgers is one of the must-do-thing whenever I am in Sarikei. I used to go the old library further down, a few blocks away when I was still studying and on my way walking back home, I would pass by the burger stall to get some burgers. Wait, that means.. the burger stall is more 10 years old now????!! I have no idea. I know it is already there for a very long time and the business is still going strong.

The burger stall is located near Maybank, behind and below JPJ and in front of Tabung Haji. You will not miss it if you drive pass the area. If you are from Kuching or Sibu, go along the main road, Jalan Repok until you pass the police station and its quarters on your left, slow down until you see a junction to the right, turn in and go straight. The burger stall in on your left.

After not writing about food post for so long, I have no idea what to write.. Watch the videos lah!

The burger is damn humongous okay!

Her face is big. But the burger is bigger. Muahahaha!

Sinfully delicious and yummy. Slurrpp! This is Beef  Special - fried cabbage, lettuce,  sliced cucumber, mayonnaise, chili and tomato ketchup, maggie seasoning ketchup,  beef patty, fried egg, a slice of cheese mix and match into one explosive gastronomic wonder!! Slurrp slurrp slurrpp.. *bite bite*

Couldn’t resist, took a bite!

Look ma! Still left so much to bite! Nyahahahahaha!

So what are you waiting for? Go get your Ramly burger at the nearest burger stall near you!! 😀

Yeah, because nobody wants to buy a RM2 Banjo from the roadside stall here in Sarikei haha! Special Burger is RM3.40, used to be RM2.70, then RM3. There’s a burger stall near 7/11 – Petronas there.. at Cempaka, Ampang. Quite nice I think.

I like to use a tupperware sans lid…. I pour a little bit of water into it (just enough to cover the bottom) and then cover it in plastic wrap, poke a hole in the plastic and then heat it in the microwave.

  32. Corporate Events wrote on Jul 15, 2009 at 11:39 pm

This pure mad mental guy started throwin’ punches around and shoutin’ Allah Allah Allah-Was he really Ali the way he was throwin’ them and wanted to change his name from Cassius to Ali and then to Allah-pure dead sore the punches….

  33. Corporate Events wrote on Jul 29, 2009 at 4:40 am

just a little salt and pepper sprinkled on top right before cooking. use a hot skillet or grill over high heat to sear in the juices. turn burger when juices begin to form on uncooked side. 5 or 6 more minutes should cook your burger to perfect medium-well.

  34. Corporate Events wrote on Jul 29, 2009 at 4:41 am

When grilling, don’t flip the burger more than once. Cook one side, flip, cook that side… done. Never EVER, EVER press down on the patty while it is cooking. Then you can say goodbye to your delicious juices.

  35. bongkersz wrote on Jul 29, 2009 at 8:20 am

@Corporate Events, thanks for the quick course of how to make burger 😛

  36. bongkersz wrote on Jul 29, 2009 at 8:21 am

@Corporate Events, yeah.. I hate it when the guy selling burger at the roadside does that.. deprives me of all the delicious juices.. haha!

  37. Corporate Events wrote on Aug 4, 2009 at 8:58 am

I am making a per frozen beef patty burger on the gas grill. What can I do to the burger while it cooks to give it better flavor? Need quick answers as it’s already cooking!

  38. Corporate Events wrote on Aug 4, 2009 at 8:58 am

Most Certified angus beef actually comes from another breed… but it’s a little higher grade. The biggest differences in hamburger choices are generally what cut of meat is used, or weather it’s mixed beef.

  39. Corporate Events wrote on Aug 4, 2009 at 8:59 am

Much like steaks, the cut of meat will have slight variations in flavor due to fat distribution through the meat. The fat content is by weight how much extra fat is added back into the meat so that it’s not dry when you cook it.

  40. Corporate Events wrote on Aug 4, 2009 at 9:00 am

Angus cattle are different from typical cattle and have a history of well-marbled meet. That means the meet has just about the right amount of fat marbling. I believe that Angus beef producers have a done a great job of marketing Angus as a upscale product over regular beef. That might be debatable.
