Other posts can wait, this one cannot.

Blurred screenshot of my Twitter account

First time getting pimped by The Star, together with other Sarawakian bloggers like Kenny Sia, Dine with Annna – Anna Bella Wong ,  Mum-mum: Eat Eat – Rowena Tan, Sixthseal – Huai Bin and Lolly Raja, founder of Kelabit Wiki Project.

Although no mention of my blog name and address in the paper version, (The Star later includes it in the online version), I was quoted in few paragraphs (very politically correct one).  Let me quote one for you guys:

“I am a proud Sarawakian. Sarawak has so much to share with the people out there and I feel obliged to share all the good and bad things about this place so people can learn, gain or make something out of it.

And they put up my handsome face HAHA! (Thank you Ras, gambar diambik ko juak dipake aku hahah!) Let’s hope #yorais doesn’t read today’s paper. Oh ya, I bought my The Star paper today, after not doing so for so long. Ehem, you know why I don’t buy The Star all this while hehehe :P

So, grab a copy of The Star today, because I am in it! Star Two pullout, pg 2 and pg. 3. Just don’t read too much on the news inside the Nation pullout eg. Umno’s doors ‘never shut’ :D

BN’s MOST GOOD LOOKING MAN!

Barisan Nasional (BN) supporters not only stupid, but blind?

Barisan man looking good – to the women

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Barisan Nasional’s Rohaizat Othman is looking good before the Permatang Pasir by-election. At least, some women think so.

The by-election is the third in the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency since last year’s general election and some villages think Rohaizat is the best-looking candidate so far.

Tanah Liat villager Salmah Ismail, 53, who will be voting for the third time since the general election, said Rohaizat was kacak (handsome).

“I have seen many politicians but he is among the more handsome ones – boleh jadi pelakon (he can be an actor). He is also very friendly,” said the masseuse.

Another villager, Maznah Said, 65 said she had known Rohaizat since he was a child.

“He grew up well and looks pleasant. He was a good kid. I know his family too,” she said.

Penang Puteri Umno deputy chairman Idamoerni Zakaria said Rohaizat’s good looks had not gone unnoticed.

“When our Puteri members go around campaigning, the female voters comment on his youth and looks. They say he is handsome and dynamic,” she added.

Khairul Niza Abd Razak, 38, Rohaizat’s wife, said the family tried to maintain their daily routine so their only child, Aiman Hidayat, nine, would not be affected.

“Of course Rohaizat is busier now with the campaigning but he tries his best to make it back for dinner. Every morning, he will help Aiman to get ready for school,” she said.

Speaking to reporters later, Rohaizat said voter feedback has been good so far.

I know beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but this is pushing the envelope a bit too far. Good looking? Right….

Let’s hear the opinion from my fellow Tweeties.. (and yours truly of course):

Rohaizat is so good looking, he looks like a cockroach I smashed dead last night.

Rohaizat is so good looking, NASA mistaken it for the landing site.

Rohaizat is so good looking, a baboon took him in as its foster child.

Rohaizat is so good looking, my digested curry mutton faeces looks just as good.

Rohaizat is so good looking, he made an onion orgasm.

Rohaizat is so good looking, his ears jump off to get away from his face.

If Rohaizat is the most good looking man, Chua Soi Lek is the most good looking porn star ever.

I rest my case :P He’s truly good looking.

ps: The Star is either very awesome at sarcasm or really dumb to consider this makcik’s opinion as representative. Gah!

pss: Yes, I can bash fugly looking people, because I am less fugly than them. So I thought. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

MCA is a poppycock party with no balls, what’s your stand on hudud?

MCA dares DAP on hudud

KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu MCA has asked DAP to clearly state whether it opposes plans by its Pakatan Rakyat partner PAS to implement hudud laws should it ever come to power.

State MCA chairman Toh Chin Yaw said the presence of DAP deputy chairman Dr Tan Seng Giaw during the announcement of the PAS candidate for the Kuala Terengganu by-election at Stadium Negeri on Thurs- day reflected the former’s compromise over the implementation of the Islamic law.

Hello? MCA must be too dumb for not reading their own paper, because many times DAP already said it does not support hudud! How many times DAP needs to make its stand? Didn’t DAP left the informal coalition of PAS, KeADILan and DAP in 2002 soon after PAS proposed to have hudud in Terengganu? Do some research before making any stupid statements.

The Malaysian Political Oscars!!

One of the very few columnists that I like in The Star is Huzir Sulaiman. This guy has good sense of humor and I enjoyed reading his articles in his regular column ‘Wide Angle’.  Who is Huzir Sulaiman you ask?

Huzir Sulaiman (born in 1973) is a Malaysian actor, director and writer. One of Malaysia’s leading dramatists, acclaimed for his vibrant, inventive use of language and incisive insight into human behavior in general and the Asian psyche in particular. His plays, often charged with dark humor, political satire, and surrealistic twists, have won numerous awards and international recognition. He currently lives in Singapore.

Now, if you are wondering what happened to his missing article yesterday in his regular Sunday column has got to, well it has been spiked. The article that he wrote was deemed ‘too sensitive’ for the ‘politically correct’ The Star and had to be spiked.
