My A-Z & Selamat Hari Gawai Dayak!

I don’t normally do tag but, most of you already knew that. It takes forever for me to answer any tag and I seldom, almost never tag anyone. The tag would end at my blog, hahaha! Still, every now and then, I’ll make an exception. I see a tag I like, I’ll do it without you tagging me.

Foongpc said he doesn’t like tag too. But, he’s crazy enough to create his own tag. He even kind enough to include some word suggestions for anyone who wants to do the tag. It’s Friday and I am in a holiday mood, I’ll do the tag. (Cibol and Drumstick tagged me, I just found out)

The tag is called “My Favourite A-Z List”.

*Begin Copy Here*

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Start copy from “Begin Copy Here” until “End Copy” to your blog.

2. List your favourites from A-Z.
For example, starting with the alphabet A, you can list down your favourite Actor, your favourite Anthem, favourite Aerobic exercise or even your favourite ABBA’s song. As long as it starts with the letter A.

Then move on to alphabet B. You can list your favourite Book, or Bag, or Blog, or even your favourite Boxer shorts! It’s entirely up to you!

Repeat the same with alphabet C, D, E and so on until Z.

If you can’t think of a word that starts on that particular alphabet, you may visit Foongpc’s Very First Blog for a comprehensive list of words.

3. Tag 7 people.

*End Copy*

After few weeks of boredom, especially during weekends, yesterday I went to Bintang Plaza, Miri and grabbed some books. Damn cheap!! I paid RM30.25 for the 3 books. I just need something that I can hold in my hands and read. I saw the exhibition booth last Wednesday when I went to watch Twilight with Nono and Amoi.

The movie is based on Stephanie Meyer’s young adult vampire-romance novel of the same title, Twilight which is the first book among the Twilight series. Girls dig romance flick, and they dig vampire romance flick even more. Dark romance, wicked attractiveness, forbidden love and potrayal of dangerous lovers just too hard to resist, hence I saw Nono and Amoi GETE* caming out from the cinema.

It is a proven formula in Hollywood. Cast a handsome romantic male lead in the role of ‘vampire’ and let him sucks the audience dry. But, spare me please. I wrote this on my Facebook status after watching the movie: ”Love conquers all, even vampires! Corniest teenage love story – Twilight.”

I find the movie a bit too boring and predictable. The movie loses the plot the more it tries to emphasize it. Vampires playing baseball? Ughh! Well, my typical response to most romance flicks, honestly I watched those movies for the cute chicks factor.

This is my 3rd week working in Miri and I am still adjusting with the slow paced life here. Nothing to rush in Miri. First day of work, I was in front of the office at 7.15am and it was not opened yet. 2nd day, I came at 7.30am and it was still not opened yet. Since then, I would go to work at 7.45am, taking my sweet time. It is only a 5 mins drive from my house to my workplace.

I wake up teribbly early nowadays, I have no idea why. Probably the sun rises early at this side of the world? With or without alarm clock, I would wake up at 6am-6.30am. Yes, that’s early in my book, my standard of ‘waking up early’. I would wrestle on the bed for another 1 hour before I take my shower and prepare myself.

I am not looking forward to weekends since working in Miri because time passes damn slow here. Watch tv? Online? Read blogs? Meeting friends? I hope getting few books to read may alleviate the boredom plaguing me for the past few weeks. Hidup ini tidak palat lagi!

Talking about ‘hidup‘ and ‘palat‘, it reminds me of the tagline by KAMIHidup ini memang palat, tapi esok masih ada. (Life sucks, but there’s always tomorrow). I love the series and the movie. I followed the series when it was first shown on 8tv, replacing Gol and Gincu. Most locally produced series not worth to watch because of the poor acting and crappy storyline. Damn kayu!

Chinese or Malay dramas all the same. I don’t know how many people out there can relate to stories protraying Datuks and Datins living in big mansions, chaffeured around, cat fights among few rival families (Datuks and Datins again), overused theme of fragile, sensitive heroine, dating the macho hero whose can’t make his mind which girlfriend (insert possesive bitchy ex-gf role here) to marry with, then the bad guy whose always turn out to be the heroine’s ex-boyfriend (and always somehow currently dating hero’s ex-gf and plotting to take over the world together), tagging along few kayu ‘mat pukul‘ with him bashing the hero or persuading the heroine to be together with him again. Yawn!!

KAMI is an exception. The acting is not forced. Natural. KL as it is. People in the movie actually talk like how we at the outside talk. They do stuffs we do. They talk about things you and me talk about. You can actually relate to the movie or drama. Well I can.

Everyone have secrets. We all experience many crappy moments and periods in our life. (Hence the palat in the tagline) but there is always tomorrow, another day. It is not going to rain forever!

ps: Liyana Jasmay cun ok! The pout is killing me softly. I think I syok kat dier. She’s 19, but she’s legal. LOL!

pss: GETE – Grinning ear to ear

psss: Palat in its original meaning?

Bee End Downfall Parody

You must watch this!!!!! A must not miss parody!!

It is a parody of  ehem.. a certain infamous Malaysian politician with his ‘buddies’. It parodies Hitler’s downfall in the movie Downfall (German: Der Untergang).

Downfall (German: Der Untergang) is a 2004 German / Austrian drama film depicting the final twelve days of Adolf Hitler in his Berlin bunker and Nazi Germany in 1945, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, written by Bernd Eichinger, and based upon the books: Inside Hitler’s Bunker, by historian Joachim Fest; portions of Albert Speer’s memoirs; the memoirs of Traudl Junge, one of Hitler’s secretaries; Hitler’s Last Days: An Eye-Witness Account, by Gerhardt Boldt; doctor Ernst-Günther Schenck’s memoirs; and the memoirs of Siegfried Knappe.

Have fun guessing who is who in the parody NYAHAHAHAHA!

I am laughing with tears running down my cheeks.. This is so funny!! Even funnier if you watched the movie before, which I did. I love German movies, especially war movies. I watched Das Boot (German for The Boat/Submarine) before, another awesome movie. You should watch it

Hello guys! :) You know what? Actually I did post something last week but, when I published it, and refreshed the page, it was gone! Fark.. Most probably happened because I didn’t save the post 1st before publish it. And I wrote a damn farking long post… Anyway, forget about that.

So, why the lack of updates in this lousy blog of mine lately? Obviously, I have no time to update :P Ok very lousy excuse haha! But, yeah I was really busy for the past weeks, lot of things to complete at work, so many deadlines and things to finish in a short time but as usual I always take it slow haha! No rush, one thing at a time and eventually everything in its right place. I’m not an urgent guy I guess, which can be good or bad depends on how you like it heh??

Lately I was busy watching movies too!! :D Yeap. Catching up with series like Prison Break, Criminal Minds -just to name few.. plus few movies I downloaded hehehee… I was planning to download as many as possible by referring to the top 250 movies listed in IMDB website haha!
