KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu MCA has asked DAP to clearly state whether it opposes plans by its Pakatan Rakyat partner PAS to implement hudud laws should it ever come to power.
State MCA chairman Toh Chin Yaw said the presence of DAP deputy chairman Dr Tan Seng Giaw during the announcement of the PAS candidate for the Kuala Terengganu by-election at Stadium Negeri on Thurs- day reflected the former’s compromise over the implementation of the Islamic law.
Hello? MCA must be too dumb for not reading their own paper, because many times DAP already said it does not support hudud! How many times DAP needs to make its stand? Didn’t DAP left the informal coalition of PAS, KeADILan and DAP in 2002 soon after PAS proposed to have hudud in Terengganu? Do some research before making any stupid statements.
DAP has made its stand over Islamic state and hudud many times, do it doesn’t need to do it again. But, how about MCA? MCA the party for the sissies and chauvisnists up to now never make any stand in regards to hudud and Islamic state. Quoting RPK in his article:
MCA has not made its stand clear. Can MCA, once and for all, state its stand on Hudud?
MCA, do you or don’t you support Hudud? Speak up now or forever hold your tongue. Are you pro-Islam or anti-Islam? Please tell us now and make it very clear.
Yes! Speak now or forever hold your tongue and be a sissy, pussified party which MCA is doing very well at, all this time. We had enough of your craps, playing to the gallery and manipulating racial and religious issues to divide Malaysians and to make them hate each other. Shame on you, poppycock party with no balls. MCA is only good enough to take care of the longkang and potholes. (and making sex DVDs). Heck, some of you may say MCA did fight for the Chinese, but what they fight for are merely non-important issues.
MainStreamMedia (MSM) is spinning like crazy as the date for by-election in Kuala Terengganu is looming. The Star, of course owned by MCA and New Straits Times is owned by Umno. If we are to believe what were reported in these papers for the past weeks and last few days, we must be thinking that:
1) Indian leaders and their supporters have deserted PKR.
2) PKR, DAP and PAS are fighting each other to death and Pakatan Rakyat is going to collapse, anytime soon.
MSM is indeed having a field day, especially when some stupid politicians gave them enough bullets to bite. Pakatan Rakyat MPs should know few things before making any racially related statement or trying to be a Chinese, Indian or Malay’s hero.
1) You are voted in not by Indian or Chinese or Malay votes alone.
Manikavasagam, you are not in because of Indians votes alone. Your constituency, only the make up of Indians voters only 13%, compared to the 52% Malay voters and the remaining 35% Chinese voters. Stop trying to make yourself like an Indian hero and only speak for the Indians. Perhaps, you should read this post and ponder upon your actions.
RPK again put it into perspective:
There is not a single seat in any of the Parliament and State constituencies where there are more than 30% Indian voters in the constituency. Maybe ten seats or so will have roughly 20% Indian voters. But that is about it. This means there is not a single seat in the whole of Malaysia where the Indians form a majority.
You could probably find a few seats where the Chinese form a majority. But it is only a handful of seats and not enough to form even a state government. For Malay-majority seats, however, there are many. Some seats are 97% or 98% Malay. But most hover around 70% to 90%. Putrajaya is 98% Malay, Kuala Terengganu is 89%, Permatang Pauh is 79%; just to name a few.
2) You are voted in to do exactly what you promised, not to ape BN’s way of doing things, especially when those are the acts/things that put them out of office and gave you the chance to perform.
What is this PR to discuss ‘politicians for council presidents’ proposal? Has PR forgotten that’s one of the reason corruptions are rampant under the previous state governments where local councils are nothing but running dogs for greedy, selfish politicians? Do you understand the “concept of separation of powers?” It is open for abuse if the proposal is to be implemented. Dr Rafick has written 2 very good posts on this issue here and here.
What’s the difference between this proposal with BN’s much despised way of doing things if PR is going to do the same? What good people vote for them hoping for a change from the old guards’ policies?? I am still waiting for the much repeated promise by PR of having local council election in PR ruled state governments to take place. So much hoohaaballoo prior to the general election, so how is the proposal now?
If you need time, tell us and maybe we can wait because we are kind people but assure us with plans and proposals to make it a reality. Refrain from making too much empty talks and excuses, your time may be running out faster than you think. Just FARKING DO IT!
Remember, the power lies with the voters. Every politician should know what it means.
ps: MCA – Mainly Cowards Association?
pss: PAS, it is not that hard to clear the confusion over the hudud issue. Make it a clear, hard cold fact – hudud is only for Muslims. Firmly state that hudud is only intended to steer Muslims to follow the Islamic path and and would not act in ways to interfere with Non-Muslims religious rights in any means. Noktah Hitam wrote a good post on this.
psss: Thanks to MSMs, Raja Sumpah (the original one, before Saiful took over) is making his appearance again, but without his 6 magic boxes. Hmm.. why only muncul during by-elections? A scientist recently discovered an extemely rare species:
Ezamitus Nor – This double headed snake is known to appear only at by-election periods. Perfectly harmless. Spits venom but other excreting a foul smell, its venom is perfectly harmless, especially to opposition members.
