I agree with you Rais, your propaganda machine (Read: MSM) are so fucked up!

Rais Wants Private TV And Radio Stations To Make Changes

JELEBU, April 19 (Bernama) — Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim has urged private television (TV) and radio stations to change by putting national interest above commercial value.

He would be meeting the management of private TV and radio stations soon to bring about changes as they had failed to deliver the government’s aspirations resulting in Barisan Nasional’s (BN) poor performance at the general election last year.

“People will not blame the private TV and radio stations if they had complied with the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.

“This will not arise if the Act is followed. There are stations that do not carry messages good for nation building,” he told reporters after a cultural function at Simpang Pertang near here Sunday.

Rais however did not totally blame the media as they had been very helpful to BN over the years.

He stressed that the changes to be made by the private TV and radio stations would not affect them commercially.

“I will be looking at the role of television and radio stations in nation building. There are 34 radio stations under the government.”.

Rais said the ministry would find new ways to deliver the government aspirations to the people.

“We will look at utilising mobile phones by using SMS messages to help in nation building,” he said.

Asked about the decision to return the Bahasa Malaysia news on RTM1 to its 8pm primetime slot, Rais said it has to be done as lots of complaints were received after it was shifted to 9pm.

“Going against what the public wants is not good for a government TV station,” he added.

It is hard to agree with what an blithering idiot has to say, but I’ll make an exception today.

Rais Yatim, I AGREE wholeheartedly with you that private TV and radio stations AND paper media that you successfully whipped into submission to be part of the government’s propaganda machine had failed to deliver the government’s aspirations resulting in Barisan Nasional’s (BN) poor performance at the general perfomance last year!

Sack the editors! You know why? Because they still FAIL! After Muhyiddin Yasin blamed the media for misquoting, misinterpreting, mistranslated his ‘Chinese are ungrateful’ statement, now The Star and Utusan Malaysia seem to be trapped in confusion. Poor MSM.

Jambatan bengkok wajar dibina – Shahrir

(Utusan Malaysia, 19 April 2009) – Ahli Parlimen Johor Bahru, Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad berkata, jambatan bengkok menghubungkan Malaysia-Singapura wajar diteruskan.

Kata beliau, jambatan yang menghubungkan Tanjung Puteri di Johor dan Woodlands di Singapura itu boleh dilaksanakan dengan semangat setia kawan antara kedua-dua negara.

Shahrir against crooked bridge, prefers better ties

(The Star, 20 April 2009) – Johor Baru MP Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad is against the revival of the crooked bridge project and has instead proposed that both countries work together to build a straight one.

β€œIt has come to my attention that many Johoreans are hopeful that our new prime minister and Cabinet will revive the crooked bridge project. The public must understand that bilateral ties between both countries will suffer if the project is revived,” he said, adding that the Malaysian Government should consider all implications when reviewing the project.

ps: I am so glad I have another idiot to bash after Syed Hamid has retired. We never short of idiots running this country.

pss: So, according to Rais, it’s everybody’s fault that BN lose its 2/3 majority at the general election last year but BN. Great huh? I bet this is the best post mortem done by their experts.

psss: I am not sure whether Rais thinks this piece of shit is part of his ‘messages for good nation building” idea.

I think most of the time these politicians are misquoted. They say something else, journo write/understand something else.

Why BN failed? Too much BN on TV. People get sick. They should watch V for Vendetta and understand the underlying moral.

I do agree on the crooked bridge. We should build it. It’ll involve many industry, tourism, industry, food and agri. Not to mention, they bring in Sg dollars in. Let’s suck em dry!

Rais yatim is tring to sell casette cartridges when most cars come equiped with CD players.

The biggest joke is he wants to have a meeting with “bloggers” soon—huh ?

And who made “cocky bru” Ahiruddin Atan the representative for all bloggers, protem president my foot.

They say that “opinions are like arseholes, everybody has one” but some of course “fart” in public and disgust everyone else with the stink. I can see Pak Lah reading the papers now and snickering to himself “…….and they called me flip-flop”.

Since we are on the topic, in the runup to the Permatang Pauh by elections – first they said Wan Azizah should not vacate her seat as a by election will incur public funds and may even boycott the by election as it is “kubu kuat Anwar” then they said that they would not waste public funds as the money belonged to UMNO war chest.

In the beginning BN said that they do not hope to win but if they can reduce wan Azizah’s majority it would be considered a victory, the suddenly because of arrogance, delusion, psywar or a combination of those factor the MSM said that BN actually could win.

Syed Nadzri of NST wrote a piece that is the subject of much ridicule and guffaws now, titled “Five reasons Anwar could lose ” http://www.malaysianbar.org.my…_lose.html because not only did Anwar win, the BN candidate got trounced, Anwar also managed to increase the margin garnered on March 08.
It is ironic that the 5 reasons he gave were mostly in favor of Anwar , but by some copulated logic of Syed Nadzri and hardcore UMNO supporters this was Anwars “Achilles Heel”.

Many of the mistakes BN made in Permatang Pauh continued to be made in other by elections. Immediately after being trounced they made incredible statements- 7 reasons BN lost big in Permatang Pauh and more http://www.facebook.com/topic….topic=5449

If they had read some blogs and comments they would have actually learnt something, what Rais fails to understand is the rakyat ultimately decide truth from bullshit whether it is published on blogs or MSM.
If he thinks a certain blog publishes untruths he should rebut with credible facts not arrest the blog owner, then the general public will definitely think BN has something to hide.
