Heh!

Cibol was here during the weekend, attending a friend’s wedding. So we met up at Rasa Rasa. I was supposed to pick him up at the airport but somehow my Celcom line kaput-ed that Sunday morning. Up #yorais, Celcom! So, he couldn’t reach him, vice versa.

Another friend of ours, Celestine went to pick him up instead. He joined us.. er, wait, I joined them for breakfast. Celestine was with his wife and his very cute little girl, Larissa. I couldn’t resist to cuddle her. Wah.. the paternal instinct was kicking in! LOL!

Deymm, most of my friends are married with kids now. Or planning to get married soon. In fact, I am going to Miri few days after Chinese New Year for a friend’s wedding! I am thinking to drive back Sarikei tomorrow or Thursday for the Chinese New Year holiday. You guys out there, drive carefully and be safe!

The package arrived on Monday and Kong-Kay went to collect it on my behalf. The day before, when I had dinner with him, I told him about the Nokia Booklet 3G I am going to get and asked whether he would like to help me taking some photos and he happily agreed. Thanks #macha!

Haven’t got time to really put this sleek babe to test, a little busy with work and travelling around. Just surfing on it few times – Monday night on my way back from the unboxing session, stopped for a while at Starbuck and last two days to kill time at airport. I love the 3G and wifi connectivity, using Windows 7 is quite an experience, still need to explore – and the best thing I found out about this device is its awesome battery life. Superb battery life.

I wish..

I was born in Kuching, then grew up in Miri. Then we moved to Sarikei when I was 9. I moved to Miri on my own to study at Kolej T.D.T.H Bujang when I was 13.  The after SPM, I continued my tertiary education in UTM Skudai, Johor Bahru. After I finished my degree, I went to KL to work.

First work place was in Puchong, Selangor and I was staying at Kelana Jaya with bunch of friends. After two and a half year, I changed company and worked at Phileo Damansara. After few months in the company, I was assigned to an office in Kuching to monitor a project in Limbang. I spent few months in Kuching before I was called back to Damansara. By then I already moved out from my previous place in Kelana Jaya, so I stayed at Ampang.

Another few months passed by and I received another job offer to work in a new company.This time, I was told that I would be stationed in Miri, Sarawak. Few months after working in Miri, I was sent to Lahad Datu on a frequent basis to monitor a project there. And by end of last year, I got a new offer to work here in Kuching. From the discussion with the management, it seems like nothing is going to change (on the moving part) because I a going to make frequent trips (or probably stayed there during the project duration) to these places – Bintulu, Bakun, Tinjar, Baram, Miri.

Good things about moving from one place to another place – you get to meet new people, make new friends, exploring new places, activities.. expanding your social circle.

What am I blabbering here? Actually, I am just bored and I have no idea what to write for this blog. Friends asked me why I do not want to write about myself and my life. Well, the truth is that,  there is nothing interesting about my life. I am a boring person. The ‘interesting’, juicy stories are not meant to be shared in public. That is why I choose to write about things happening around me. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Nokia Booklet 3G so I can have something to write about.

WOMWorld Nokia is sending me a Nokia Booklet 3G ‘mini laptop’ to play with. According to the DHL shipment tracker, it has arrived today, but I have yet to receive any call from DHL to collect it. They called me on Friday asking me about the shipment to confirm that it is a laptop of  ‘Nokia’ brand. Probably afraid the customs would think it is a mobile phone, since *cough cough* some people think Nokia is all about mobile phones only. Keep you guys updated!

The big news everyone was waiting for – Nokia is delivering free navigation starting Jan 21st until… (it is out of business? LOL) Quoting from Nokia’s website - From this day on, Navigation on your Nokia, with Ovi Maps, will be free for everyone, everywhere, to get people to the places they love. Now, and forever.

So get Nokia OviMaps for your devices now! I have updated mine on Nokia 5800XM

The great people at WOMWorld Nokia sent me an invite to Nokia virtual event, which is going to take place around 5.35pm Malaysia time.

Rais Yatim has been consistently making headlines for the wrong reasons and his recent remark on social medias – Facebook and Twitter is just too juicy to bite on. Malaysian tweeple have been tweeting about Rais Yatim and his culturedly ancient views for the past few days, and #dinorais was used to refer to tweets about him.

Well, probably it was not catchy enough but yesterday, after I sent out a tweet with the hashtag #yorais, Malaysian tweeple went amok and the rest is history.

2009 wrap-up

Start. Sold off old ride at a loss. Bought a new car. Ridden with more debts. Moved from KL to Miri. Made more new friends. I love Miri. Stayed at Hilltop, rented a room. Pissed off with the landlady, moved to Permyjaya, renting a house. Addicted to Twitter. Less blogging. Photog sessions. Bought my first baju raya, maroon colour. Went Raya visiting. Series of misfortunes. Blurry eyes. Family problem. Fucked up old man. Screwed by crazy dude. Almost. Relationship problem. Money problem. Knocked a lamp post. Escaped without a scratch. Car banged up real bad. Insurance paid RM8k to fix. Poor Sarah. Assigned to work at Lahad Datu. Flew so many times in 2009, kinda sick of it. I miss KL. The people. Lovely friends. No vacations this year. Philippines trip canceled. Typhoon. H1N1. Busy work schedule. Life is getting better. Good times with crazy friends. <3 them. Shit I use <3 in my blog! Bimbo much. Modeled for photoshoot. Sort of. Saja tumpang sekaki. Paid off big chunk of debts. Many friends getting married. Free N900 to play with. New job offer. Kuching here I come. Am so ready for 2010. End.
