The pantun is a Malay poetic form. The pantun originated as a traditional oral form of expression. The first examples to be recorded appear in the 15th century in the Malay Annals and the Hikayat Hang Tuah. The most common theme is love.

I love pantun and puisi very much. I joined pantun competitions among classes and I wrote ‘puisi’ (poetry) to be submitted when there were poem writing competitions my secondary school time 
I once won a poem writing competition but I am not going to tell you what I wrote hahaha!

Since lately writing pantun in blogs is the ‘hot’ thing to do, thanks to Cocka and Clare, not forgetting Suituapui, this is for Cibol.
Buah cempedak tolong jolokkan,
Dua tiga kucing berlari,
Selamat hari lahir saya ucapkan,
Semoga hidup makin bererti,
Jolok cempedak makan seorang
Gunung Daik bercabang tujuh,
Sudah lama hidup membujang,
Moga cepat beroleh jodoh,
Buah cempedak dibawa berlayar
Masak sebiji di atas peti,
Suituapui memang kuat berloyar,
Pantun saya habis di sini,
