Before I went back for Chinese New Year, I wrote a post on things to do during the holidays here. Reading that post, it seems like the whole idea of going back hometown for CNY holidays is to stuff my stomach LOL! Well, what you expect? We all miss home cooked food and local delicacies very much and we jump at any given opportunity to be able to taste it again right?
I just came back from Kuching yesterday. Today is the first day I am back to work after away for 2 weeks. The office still pretty much empty, many still on leave. Honestly, I am still in the festive mood. I miss the cheerful atmosphere, the people and of course the food! Only during holiday season like this, I get the chance to meet my family, relatives and catching up with old friends. It is always fun and the most anticipated moment during the period. I made many new friends this CNY, awesome feeling
Cheers to that yeah!
I love kids. They are innocent, sweet, cute, carefree and they love ask many questions, show you things they have, what they learned and always try to impress you haha! Hmm, when you reminiscent about time when you were a kid and wish badly you can turn back time, you are getting old tch tch tch..
Man-D asked me to post up more photos. These are the some photos I took during CNY using my lousy Sony Ericsson K618i so the quality is not so good and I am lazy to photochopped it. Bah! Better than nothing right?

My uncle’s little daughter, 8 months old

My sister’s son – 3 years old (oh his nickname is Bengbeng as well lol~!)

Little Bengbeng is posing (Not that Uncle Bengbeng hor..)

I wrote this in the the bus just now, using my mobile on my way back from Sibu to Sarikei. It was so boring sitting in the bus, so I thought writing a blog post to kill time would be great. I finished the post, but couldn’t post it up due to lousy connection along the way. I took the 8am bus from Sibu (Bengbeng and Cibol sent me off) and reached Sarikei at 10am. Then got another bus to catch at 1pm to Kuching, and now I am in Kuching!
Monday morning will fly back to KL and back to slaving my ass. How sad
Well, forget about that 1st. Let’s talk about happy things..
I had a wonderful day in Sibu! I reached Sibu yesterday evening around 5pm. It was raining heavily when I reached, but it never spoil the cheerful mood meeting up with Bengbeng and Cibol who picked me up. Cibol has been whoring his ass at Bengbeng’s place since 1st day of CNY if you didn’t already know. We had some drinks and then proceeded to Bengbeng’s place where I met Mrs. Bengbeng (thanks for the wonderful dinner!) and Beng Hui, Bengbeng’s son. Beng Hui is a very smart and playful kid, no wonder Bengbeng talks about him all time hehe. (Hey, go to sleep early, or else you will not look handsome like Uncle Cibol muahahahaha!)
We later met up with other Sibu big shots like Clare, Wongpk, Clement and Natalia. The biggest (literally :p) celebrity in Sibu, Suituapui couldn’t make it because he is in Penang comparing the taste of laksa penang and laksa sarawak. (Sorry Suituapui, I heard you ter-bite your own lips probably when we mentioned your name last night haha!) We ordered kong pia, satay and chicken but couldn’t finish it. I was so full from the CNY non stop eating lol! In the end we forced Clement to finish it hehe! Clement, you are the man! We later went ‘pai nien’ (CNY visiting) at Natalia’s house. Cibol ‘sempat’ to show off his singing and guitar playing skills. He was the superstar for the night haha! Rock kapak dude! lol!
Thanks Natalia and family for having us. I love the wine haha! Me, Cibol and Bengbeng later went back to Bengbeng’s house and we chit chatted till 2.30am? So many things to talk, yet so little time. I would like to thank Bengbeng and family for having me at his place. Bengbeng is a wonderful host, such a nice and sweet guy and a loving father
I have to say, it is a great pleasure meeting you guys, I was having great time hanging out with Sibu people!
Wongpk : too bad you cabut early for the movie, halfway we busy oogling Sibu hot chicks. So how was CJ7?:p
Claire : glad to finally meet the kampua queen haha! Didn’t get the chance to eat a plate of kampua with you leh? Hope to see again in KL perhaps?
Clement : nice finally meeting you man!
Natalia : so, you are the LittlePrawn aka Cucumber aka Melon? Nice to know you and thanks for the wine haha! :p
Cibol : er, nothing to say to you lah dude, you not important haha! Keep me updated on your KL trip dude
I need a good rest now. Tired from all the traveling, eating and talking. Gong Xi Fa Cai people!
Some photos from the meet up :

Angeles commented in my previous post :
“mmm… just tell me how u gonna spend your cny hols… i not interested to knw abt other things
“
Guess that my previous post a bit too boring and un-interesting to read
Reading too many bad news can be hazardous to health and cause mental damage. With what is happening in this country, the odd of getting brain damage is definitely very high. Oh, if you want to read feel good news, just grab a copy of either The Star, NST, Berita Harian, Harian Metro, Utusan Malaysia, Sinar…
CNY is coming!!! I am going back to Sarawak this Friday! Depart from KLIA at 8.50pm to Kuching, flying MAS this time. (Baru ada class beb! Haha!) It was because when I did my ticket booking, Air Asia ticket was more expensive then MAS. Damn it, a week after I booked mine, Air Asia came out with cheaper tickets. $@^%^%!!!
It is been a long long time since I back to my hometown. The last time I went back Sarawak was to attend a friend’s wedding, back in March? And oh-mai-goat! This time I go back, I am already an uncle! Yes, that friend gave birth last December. That’s fast!
So how I am going to spend my CNY holiday? First thing first.
1. Eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kolo Mee - I miss kolo mee so farking much!!!!! Argh!! What else?

Sarawak Laksa – How’s that!!!

Tian Pien Hu / Ding Bian Hu - I just love this man! ArghhhhhH!!

(image source : The Glutton Queen )
Tomato Kueh Teow – my all time favourite!

I am tired of uploading photos
I actually want to put up more photos of what I want to eat and drink, but then it will suck all the bandwidth
Lazy lah… You get my point. I want to eat… eat… and eat… first thing I will do when I land in Sarawak! Muahahahhahah! I shall continue on the rest of the things I plan to do during CNY holidays in my next post. (mudah mudahan…)
p/s : Man, posting and adding photos is so tedious, how the fark Cibol and Zewt manages to do that for most of their posts :D
