I must applaud UMNO Seputeh for showing their sensitive and caring side by making police report against Teresa Kok for insulting egg.

Report lodged against Teresa Kok for insulting egg

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 24, 2008) : The Seputeh Umno Youth division lodged a police report today against Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, claiming she had insulted the Royal Malaysian Police and the egg, which is an essential food of the underprivileged.

The division’s deputy head Alawi Dahalin and several other members lodged the report at the Brickfields police station.

Alawi said he had heard Kok complain about the food she was given while detained under the ISA, at a press conference at the DAP headquarters in Petaling Jaya, shown on the night news on TV on Sept 20, a day after she was released from custody.

He said Kok had said the food she was served was “fit only for dogs”.

“By saying this, she had insulted the police and the poor. Eggs are an important food for low-income earners and the poor. As an elected representative of the people she should not have said that,” he said.

Damn you Teresa Kok, why you go and insult eggs? Humpty Dumpty may go and testify against you in court now! You have incur the wrath of egg lovers!

The Malaysian Political Oscars!!

Monday, September 22nd, 2008 223 views

One of the very few columnists that I like in The Star is Huzir Sulaiman. This guy has good sense of humor and I enjoyed reading his articles in his regular column ‘Wide Angle’.  Who is Huzir Sulaiman you ask?

Huzir Sulaiman (born in 1973) is a Malaysian actor, director and writer. One of Malaysia’s leading dramatists, acclaimed for his vibrant, inventive use of language and incisive insight into human behavior in general and the Asian psyche in particular. His plays, often charged with dark humor, political satire, and surrealistic twists, have won numerous awards and international recognition. He currently lives in Singapore.

Now, if you are wondering what happened to his missing article yesterday in his regular Sunday column has got to, well it has been spiked. The article that he wrote was deemed ‘too sensitive’ for the ‘politically correct’ The Star and had to be spiked.

Friday, September 19th, 2008 142 views

You must watch this!!!!! A must not miss parody!!

It is a parody of  ehem.. a certain infamous Malaysian politician with his ‘buddies’. It parodies Hitler’s downfall in the movie Downfall (German: Der Untergang).

Downfall (German: Der Untergang) is a 2004 German / Austrian drama film depicting the final twelve days of Adolf Hitler in his Berlin bunker and Nazi Germany in 1945, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, written by Bernd Eichinger, and based upon the books: Inside Hitler’s Bunker, by historian Joachim Fest; portions of Albert Speer’s memoirs; the memoirs of Traudl Junge, one of Hitler’s secretaries; Hitler’s Last Days: An Eye-Witness Account, by Gerhardt Boldt; doctor Ernst-Günther Schenck’s memoirs; and the memoirs of Siegfried Knappe.

Syed Hamid is an idiot?? No lah, he’s a moron.

Monday, September 15th, 2008 1,658 views

BN is beyond help. Idiots running amok.

Gutsy Sin Chew Daily senior journalist Tan Hoon Cheng makes Internal Security Act (ISA) history for being detained for the shortest period under the infamous detention-without-trial law – less than 20 hours! She was detained at 8.30 pm on Sept 12th and was release at 4.00 pm the next day (19.5 hours). The reason for her arrest?

According to Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar, Tan was detained for her safety as the police believed her life was “under threat”.

Quoting from Malaysiakini:

Speaking from Johor Baru this morning, Syed Hamid justified Tan’s detention under the ISA with a rare reason that it was as part of the government’s preventive measure ‘to ensure her safety’.

The minister claimed police intelligence have indicated that the journalist’s life came under threat after she reported an Umno division leader’s allegedly racist remarks.

“We have no intention of holding a reporter as after all she was just taking notes of the comments made by a certain party that led to a public debate.

“She maybe released as soon as today after police have obtained all information needed,” Syed Hamid was quoted as saying by Star Online.

Don’t buy Proton Perdana! Go Mercedes!

Terengganu officials switch car brand

KUALA TERENGGANU: State exco members and senior officers started using their new Mercedes-Benz E200 Kompressor cars today.

The state bought 14 of the luxury cars for RM3.43mil to replace the Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars that had been purchased in 2004.

The new cars are for the exco members, the state assembly speaker, the state secretary, the state legal adviser and the state finance officer.

The new cars with tinted windows carry the state emblem with the wording “Exco Kerajaan Negeri” embossed on the number plate.

State Secretary Datuk Mokthar Nong said the decision to use Mercedes-Benz cars was made several months ago.

The state took delivery of the cars earlier this month.

He said the German cars were bought for the safety of the state officials who had to travel extensively and to reduce the cost of maintenance.

“After much evaluation, the state felt the Mercedes-Benz cars are more reliable for long term use. It was also time to replace the Proton Perdanas,” he added.

Mercedes E200 Kompressor

1. Proton Perdana not safe and maintenance cost higher than Mercedes!!!!!

2. It was also time to replace the Proton Perdanas - bought in 2004. :???:

3. It seems like the state new exco members’ life are more precious than the previous members and probably their safely also more important than Pak Lah himself. Pak Lah is driven around in his No. 13 Proton Perdana.

4. Cakap tak serupa bikin.

Opt for locally-made products, says Abdullah

PUTRAJAYA: The people must have confidence in using locally-made products to renew interest in research and development of local technologies, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said yesterday.

“If we do not buy local products, there will be no interest to develop research and the technology used will be wasted,” the prime minister said

5. Compare BN-led state and Pakatan Rakyat-led state.

“In comparison, during the first weeks of new governance, the present Penang state government has decided to cancel the orders of new official cars for exco members placed by the previous administration”

From the article above:

“State Secretary Datuk Mokthar Nong said the decision to use Mercedes-Benz cars was made several months ago.”

Several months ago? Since March 8 only a few months ago, this is likely the most important decision made when the new state exco was appointed. Then in today’s paper, Terengganu’s MB defended the purchase of the 14 new Mercedes E200 Kompressor - a whooping RM3.43million:

MB on why Terengganu bought Mercedes cars

KUALA TERENGGANU: The state government has defended the purchase of 14 Mercedes E200 Kompressor cars at RM3.43mil for the use of its state executive councillors and senior officials.

Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said said the state government had planned to purchase the cars for a long time now to replace its Proton Perdana V6 Executive fleet in a move to cut cost.

“Please understand that the Proton Perdanas go through continuous long-distance journeys. It’s costing us a lot of money due to high cost of maintenance.

“We are not saying that the national car is not good but in reality we are coughing up more money for maintaining the Proton Perdanas, particularly the gear boxes,” he said.

Ahmad cited the example of the Proton Perdana of state Commerce, Industry and Environment committee chairman Toh Chin Yaw, which has twice undergone expensive repairs costing RM50,000 within 36 months.

“In the long run, Mercedes cars are cheaper to maintain and could also save us fuel costs.

“This is the state’s long-term plan – we are farsighted. The cars could also fetch a high market price, when sold as second-hand cars.

“We studied all angles before deciding to buy the Mercedes E200 cars,” he added.

Ahmad also denied that the oil royalty money was used to buy the cars.

“In the first place we have yet to receive the oil royalties from the Federal Government.

“The funds to procure the cars were from our own coffers and has nothing to do with the oil royalties,” he said.

Long distance journey? We all aware they travel by jets or MAS business class all the time. Oh? Mercedes cars are cheaper to maintain and could save fuel costs, that’s something new.. to me.

I wonder what kind of parts can cost RM50k, we were talking about Perdana, not Porche or BMW. Probably the repair costs marked up as well?? Fishy.. Or probably Terengganu exco members are big fans of Pimp My Ride?

ps: |1f34|-|1r3 aka Life4Hire is not happy he’s not getting his Mercedes. He’s jealous and he called them suckers. Read it here.
