I was in KL for the weekend. After breaking up many promises to go and chill out with my friends on the other side (so sorry peeps for that!), finally I made a last minute decision to go. Booked my ticket on Thursday and flew down on Friday evening. I am glad I made it to KL because I had the chance to attend few very important tweetups, meeting old friends – especially my lovely comrades from Facebook, and hanging out with many new friends from Twittersphere.

I touched down at LCCT around 7.30pm, took a bus to KL Sentral which took me an hour to reach there. Another 10 mins wasted to find a cab. First cab asked for RM35, I told him to go back and sleep, then I went to the roadside and managed to catch a macha. We had a good chat about Sarawak (after he learned that I am a Sarawakian), tuak, toddy, samsu and a little bit on politics. I was heading to Rocket Cafe to attend a tweetup with Lim Kit Siang. Tony Pua was there as well. I was late, reached there around 9pm and luckily I just missed the session about half an hour.

Teeetup with Lim Kit Siang and Tony Pua

The tweetup make-up is a very multiracial one, something different from the usual DAP organised gatherings I have been to. In fact, Vijay whispered to me halfway during the tweetup, “Hey Bong, you know this is the first gathering I’ve been that I see so many races, normally.. majority Chinese and few Indians, very seldom got Malays. Tonight we have so many”.

Many questions and comment were raised during the tweetup. Questions on Lim Kit Siang’s call for boycott during the swearing in ceremony in Perak post GE 2008, September 16 and many more.

I had the chance to ask few questions and make some comments on the image of DAP as a multiracial party hampered by its inability to get the right mixture of members and leaders to reflect a true multiracial party. Many other tweeples jumped in and gave their comments on how DAP is still perceived among Malays as a Chinese party. Something need to be done to change this perception.

Lim Kit Siang gave a good answer on this. He pointed out that in principle, DAP never close its door to any Malaysian, be it Malay, Chinese, Indian etc. The party does not limit any Malaysian of any race and religion to join the party. He then mentioned some prominent Malay leaders in DAP – a well-known Malay, MP Ahmad Nor, who was its vice-president until his death in 2003, Tunku Abdul Aziz the current party vice-president as an example of DAP multiracial and open to all. approach. It’s wrong to say that the DAP is not interested broadening its appeal to the Malays.

But DAP has difficulties to attract other races especially Malays because there are so many other parties to choose from and most of the time being an opposition party doesn’t help. Malays can choose from Umno, Gerakan, PPP then only PAS, PKR and lastly DAP. For those who are pro-opposition, before PKR was formed they would choose either PAS or DAP but now they can choose PKR.

Hmm, for me I personally feel the problem with DAP trying to attract Malay members is that DAP does not have enough specifics in their programmes or policies for the Malays as a specific community. How DAP is going to assist the Malays in their development, what kind of policies DAP has for them. Reaching out to the Malays is different from reaching out to the Chinese and Indians and other Natives for that matter. Religion is one crucial factor.

Another issue brought up was on the dissemination of information to the ground. DAP specifically or Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in general could have done many good things but all this good news are not delivered to the right people due to the distortion, manipulative and blackout in mainstream media. This problem is also related to the previous question and comments where DAP is perceived as a Chinese party when DAP has always been multi-racial in its composition and outlook.

PR also does not have an official one stop centre’ for all the news, press statements, commentaries on policies and current issues, blogs for its leaders, members and supporters. Independent or alternative media who are pro PR like Malaysia Today and Malaysiakini are not enough. TV Selangor is a good example on how Pakatan Rakyat can use it to present PR’s side on any story and issues of current interests, offering counter-statements, interviews on various issues and showing all the good works carried out by PR. Heck it even has live parliamentary session, something Malaysian cannot get from RTM channels or any mainstream electronic media.

I also commented on the cooperation between Pakatan Rakyat parties – PKR, DAP and PAS where PR still does not portray itself as a coalition with united voice when you have situation where PAS will take lead on a certain issue, DAP will take lead on another issue. I suggested that for DAP to portray and show that it is a party who is after Malaysians’ interests, it should always go to the front.

Tony Pua replied “Let’s say for an example, on the Allah issue if DAP was the first to go out and say ‘It is okay for the Christians to use the Allah word’ and then PAS followed after that, how people would think? How the Muslims would think? Don’t you think Umno and BN would jump to the opportunity to say PAS ‘ikut telunjuk’ (PAS is DAP’s puppet)? That is why for certain issues, we find it is better for us to sit back and let other parties take the lead.

Valid point, which I gave my next comment ‘Then, to avoid such problem, giving impression to the people out there on the disunity of PR parties, of who’s taking the lead and who’s taking the back seat, shouldn’t Pakatan Rakyat issue some sort of joint-statement when dealing with an issue? That way, no question of each party issuing its own statement or the possibility of contradicting each other. It is also more difficult for PR detractors to accuse any party of being submissive to other party. Any statement or comments coming from other PR leaders or parties after the official statement are considered as just personal opinions/views since the official stand has been made.”

Hmm….

Too bad, time was running out and the only reply I got was “Well, that’s an idealistic thinking”. Hmm….

Tweetup at The Reef, TTDI

A friend was waiting for more than 15 mins downstairs for me and Vijay to go for another tweetup at The Reef, TTDI. So after we took some group photos, we left for The Reef. I was so happy to meet up with the regular tweeples in person – @Asohan, @orangasle, @feistyflo (Thanks for inviting me cayang hahaha!), @zeffri (and his lovely wife), @IcedNyior, @thechannelc (she left without saying goodbye! Easier to sneak out than saying goodbye eh??), @sureshdr, @rachelweiyi, @iemzhar, @JcrT, @auzani (he came a bit late after). Sorry if I miss out your name, writing this off the top of my head.

Had so much fun, gyrating to the 80’s tune. We even made a toss to #yorais! We were so loud and at one point chanting “U2, U2, U2″ asking for songs from the band to be played. Too bad, our requests were ignored.. huargghhh! Nobody was taking photos of the tweetup, I think @IcedNyior took some and twitpic-ed it, may need to check her tweets for the photos. We adjourned to the mamak opposite the bar and I had my sleep around 4.30am. I was staying at D’aman Ria, the place where I stayed when I was working in Klang Valley. Thanks CM for opening the door at 4am LOL!

To be continued… (Next post - fish head noodle, Kanna Curry House farewell lunch and Teh Tarik Tweetup with Anwar Ibrahim)

The results speak for themselves. The verdict is out.

Barisan Nasional, BN

1. It’s simple. Change for good or face extinction in the nearest future. Change or to be changed.

2. People still remember the deeds by the recurring warlords like Apanama and Samyvellu. As long as these old goats still clinging to power, don’t expect people to believe BN is serious about change. What serious change?

It is shocking that two Cabinet Ministers dropped by the previous administration under Abdullah in his second Cabinet after the 2004 general election are “hot favourites” to be appointed into the Najib Cabinet. These purged corrupted souls, vetted to the dustbins are making their comebacks? How can BN under Najib convince Malaysians that his first Cabinet is a clean one when he could appoint as Ministers persons whom Abdullah had thrown out of the Cabinet because of their failure to pass Abdullah’s integrity test?

3. Looking at the vote tally, except in Batang Ai, Sarawak people are determined for change. If many concluded these voters voted against BN during the last general election to teach BN a lesson for being arrogant and corrupt, the results for the by elections held after GE in – total 5 where 4 bagged by Pakatan Rakyat shows that people are consistent and persistent in their message that they want to see the changes which have not been forthcoming.

4. MCA, MIC, Gerakan are rendered useless but they are still clamoring for ministerial positions. MCA wants a post for Chinese Deputy Prime Minister. What the hell? Wake up, it’s not about race. People want their leaders to be elected based on merits and intergrity.

5. What with the media spin, focusing on the win in Batang Ai and keep reaffirming themselves in denial that the result in Batang Ai shows that people still give their mandate to BN? Wake up. Stop living in denial. Winning Batang Ai where the voters only consist of 8000+ people and suddenly it’s something to be proud of?

I’ll stop with BN. It’s a gone case anyway, I don’t see them changing for better anytime soon. Just keep your eyes on the new cabinet line-up to be sure. Well, from the faces who secured their seats in Umno Supreme Council which pretty much determine the fate of Malaysia in reality, you know the concept of ‘change’ for BN is along the line of Samyvellu wanting to rebrand his party. You geddit?

Pakatan Rakyat, PR

1. Congratulations for the win. But, stil a lot of works to be done. Few things. It is quite obvious most of the problems in PR are from PKR. I still couldn’t comprehend the logic behind PKR’s choice of candidate for Batang Ai. PAS and DAP seem to have their act more together. PAS even managed to increase the support of Chinese voters in Bukit Gantang, where before, the non-Malays treated PAS like poison; now they have no qualms at all voting for this party, an unthinkable act just two years ago.

For Bukit Gantang by election, with a winning majority almost twice that of the previous one exactly a year later, this must be viewed as a damning referendum on Najib, Umno, BN and the government especially regarding the engineered BN takeover in Perak. There’s no other way about it.

2. I am disappointed with Anwar Ibrahim over his many anti climax announcements. Can you please stop making premature announcements? If you have something big and real, keep it in wrap and do the ‘big’ announcement once and for all. There’s no need for “an announcement to announce another big announcement would be made. ” A bit stupid, really.

And what a childish, totally off statement about ballot boxes being thrown into the sea? Do the Math please, even if in the unlikely event all the ballots at the bottom of the sea is belong to PKR they still would not win. Me and some friends were discussing this and we all agree he should be a bigger man and say something along the line which Vijay put eloquently:

“I congratulate BN candidate Malcolm Mussen on his victory at Batang Ai, I also thank all our supporters and party workers at batang Ai for their efforts, We realize that we are a new comer to East Malaysian politics and have a lot to learn, nevertheless we will continue in our endeavor to get closer to the people and would work with any party BN included for the benefit of the people.

While I am pleased that we retained the Bukit Gantang and Bukit Selambau seats, let it not go to our heads as much needs to be done to address the grouses of the people there be they BN or our own supporters, let us build bridges of understanding that unite us to fight the common enemy of the people which is the economic crisis that is looming large that affects us all regardless of our political affiliations

We all have a stake in this blessed country and there is far more that unites us than divides. Thank you.”

Anwar, you just missed a golden opportunity to stand out against the sulking BN who showed no humility.

3. Pakatan Rakyat must get their act together and come out with a Pakatan constitution, formal logo, shadow cabinet etc. in the view that it will be a possible choice of government in the next future. To be honest, plenty of works need to be done, especially to strengthen the cooperation and machinery of the coalition. I am still confused whether Pakatan Rakyat is ‘Anwar-centric’ or ‘Pakatan Rakyat-centric’. Is the coalition merely a tool for Anwar’s conquest for power or it a real alternative for Malaysians to choose and rely on, paving the way for a two-party system in this country?

4. For East Malaysia – Sabah and Sarawak, perhaps PKR should forget about making way into the states, but let the locals form their own opposition parties and be parts of Pakatan Rakyat. I would say that’s the most effective and appropriate way to do it. Umno realises this long time ago, and if the locals accept ‘outsiders’, Umno would be the first to fly in. I can’t say the same for Sabah, though.

Problems with Sarawak (and PKR it seems like), there are many recyled opportunists, making a dash to join the opposition because they feel disgruntled or didn’t get their cuts, rather than really wanting to make a change. These individuals are the one that we should be wary with. So, do you think Anwar is a disgruntled politician? I have my opinions, I’ll share it after yours.

Last words, thank you Apanama and Samyvellu for helping out again with the win! A joke for the weekend – when your friends start to talking nonsense about fair, right and just in this country and you disagree, you should retort:

“What fair? Right? Just? What the heck are you talking about? The truth about fair and just in this country is just like Samyvellu’s left testicle. Never RIGHT. Never FAIR.”

It’s by election time again! Well it is a tri-election this time – Bukit Selambau, Bukit Gantang and Batang Ai. 2 Bukit and 1 Batang. Doesn’t sound right. We have another Bukit in waiting – Bukit Lanjan. The orgy fest of the Bukits and Batang.. Ah Ah Har Har…

Few things. MSM is again, spinning for the establishment. So, let’s unspin the spin in this insignificant blog of mine.

If you read the MSM reports for the past few days, especially on Bukit Selambau by election, you may get this conclusion – Bukit Selambau Indian votes may shift because of ‘perceived’ change of Indian sentiments on the ground, reflected by the resignation by Jerai PKR division chief B. Kalaivanar and some PKR Indian leaders contesting as independents, defying the party’s rule.

Le’t start with Kalaivanar. I quote:

SUNGAI PETANI: PKR’s campaign for the Bukit Selambau state seat was dealt an early blow when more than 450 members, led by Jerai PKR division chief B. Kalaivanar, quit the party.

(Source: The Star)

The reason offered for quitting the party is typical hoollaballoo.

“he and many members were disappointed and frustrated that the party leadership had ignored the voices of those who had struggled for the party.”

So is that true? We shall examine closer. I tell you how to spot a liar even from far far far away.. heck I am sitting down here in Miri and the stench of his verbal diarhea is killing me. (figuratively lah!)

“While he admitted that he would like to be an elected representative for PKR, “

- Ah, got you bugger. This is the real reason why he is making all the noise.

“He also claimed that other divisions will follow but refused to name them.”

- Got you again, liar

Kalaivanar said he was motivated by a desire to defend true democracy, and would still go on campaigning during the Bukit Selambau by-election.

But when asked who he would be campaigning for, he said, “It will not be the PKR candidate, and it will not be any of the independent candidates.“

- This is the real reason No. 2, he’s offering himself in a very subtle way to BN for some reasons which I will mention later in this post.

“At one time the Reformasi movement dubbed (former Prime Minister Tun Dr) Mahathir (Mohamad) the ‘firaun’ (pharaoh), but now we can see that (PKR adviser Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim) is also a pharaoh and a dictator,” he said. He was, however, unable to provide concrete incidents and examples of how Anwar had been a dictator. – Again, cheap talk.

He also accused PR of indulging in excesses and cronyism as well, claiming that there were contracts and government-linked companies now in PKR’s pocket.

When asked for proof of his claims, however, he was unable to provide any, saying instead: “I’m not delving into details today. Today, I just want to announce my quitting the party.” – Again, just cheap talk.

Kalaivanar was also asked the reason why he chose to announce his decision during the by-election campaigning period.

“I will reveal my reasons tomorrow, step by step. I am not looking for cheap publicity, because I am a seasoned politician,” the 45-year-old said.

- Now, you want to know the REAL reason why this bugger bad mouthing PKR and PR government, hoohaa-ing about not being chosen as candidate?

PKR man faces cheating rap
June 11, 2008

SUNGAI PETANI: Parti Keadilan Rakyat candidate for the Gurun state seat in the last general election B. Kalaivanar was charged at the magistrate’s court yesterday with two counts of cheating involving RM3,600.

Kalaivanar, who is also Jerai PKR division chairman, claimed trial to inducing R. Patchama, 59, to hand over RM2,000 in April 2004 as payment to process an application for aid with the Social Security Organisation (Sosco).

Known as Kalai among PKR members, the 44-year-old also claimed trial to issuing a cheque for RM1,600 to Patchama on Sept 15, 2005, when he knew that there was no application for the amount with Socso. The cheque bounced.

The offences were allegedly committed at No 24, Kampung Sungai Ibur in Gurun, 20km from here.

Assistant public prosecutor Nuraswan Amuniddin proposed bail of RM4,000 in one surety for each charge.

Kalaivanar, a father of six, who was not represented, pleaded for a lower bail of between RM1,000 and RM1,500, saying that his wife was a housewife and that he worked as an activist with several non-governmental organisations.

Court Registrar V. Kanesan, sitting as magistrate, set bail at RM3,000 for each charge in one surety pending mention on July 6.

Kalaivanar posted bail, but was arrested again outside the bailiff’s office about 1pm.

It is learnt that he was detained in connection with investigations into his alleged involvement in another cheating case in Bahau, Negri Sembilan, several years ago.

Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Hashim Ali was not available for comment.

In the March 8 election, Kalaivanar lost to Dr Leong Yong Kong of Barisan Nasional in the Gurun state seat. He polled 7,035 votes against Dr Leong’s 8,589 votes, losing by 1,554 votes.

He also contested as a PKR candidate for the same state seat in the 2004 general election. He lost to the incumbent state MCA chairman Datuk Beh Heng Seong of BN.

Let me put this in a simple way.

1. PKR cannot choose anyone with a dubious background, what more with extra baggages like this guy. Remember what happened in Perak with Osman Jailu and Jamaluddin? This Kalai is one potential big, delicious frog. This guy would have been the worse choice ever to contest. With 2 court cases of cheating hanging over him, he would be a prime target for a ‘turnover’ like Osman and Jamaluddin.

Hey, in all coincidences (that’s how things go in Malaysia, yo! Coincidence!) this guy miraculously ‘bumped’ into Muhyiddin Yassin to congratulate him on his win in the Umno party election.

After the press conference, Kalaivanar was spotted by reporters shaking hands with newly elected Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the Cinta Sayang Resort here.

2.This guy was given the chance to contest in the 2 general elections, for Gurun seat and lost! Despite that, he was made Jerai division chief by PKR and he’s not grateful at all. Bugger still has the bloody cheek to submit his name as a canditate knowing full well he has been charged in court over cheating two ladies. He could not even afford bail and asked for it to be reduced, his finances seem to be in dire straits , making him easily bought.

3. With bad past records, had he be chosen as the Selambau’s candidate you can imagine how much the BN would have a field day in attacking the integrity of the PKR candidate. Just Imagine last week he was attacking BN vehemently but later he made a 360 degree turn in attacking PKR.

That shows his lack of principle and ideology, within 24 hours he has forgotten how BN has treated his 5 brothers in Kamunting and his fellow countrymen all over Malaysia.

Next, another two clowns from PKR defying party’s rule to disallow party members to contest as independence and in the event of doing so, they risk the threat of expulsion from the party.

A. Jayagopal, 57, who is on suspension as the Pokok Sena division chief, said he was contesting because the people on the ground were unhappy with the PKR’s choice of candidate.

“We are wondering why the PKR leadership chose a young candidate with no political acumen,” said Jayagopal, who claimed to have joined the party 11 years ago.

Bugger is on suspension and still busy making noise. Manikumar is a graduate from UUM and Malaysians definitely need more educated state assemblyman and better to have a younger candidate with fresh ideas to be in politics, you idiotic old fart. What political acumen? Like Samyvellu? He’s an ‘experienced’ politicians, the joker is holding the record for the longest serving party president now.

Jayagopal and Merbok member S. Moganakumar are among the 13 independents contesting against PKR’s S. Manikumar and Barisan Nasional’s Datuk S. Ganesan.

Moganakumar, 43, said he was contesting “to save PKR actually”.

Oh my, that’s the biggest joke after Samyvellu staying on as MIC chief honcho despite his ‘rejuvenation’ exercise to the party. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously, I am sick of this Indian votes, Chinese votes, Malay votes thingy. In this case, stupid morons, the so called Indians keep harping on the Indian representative. Can’t you all think as Malaysians rather than thinking of race issue?

Please bare in mind that Indians form only about 27% of the electorates. Malay voters form more than 50% of the electorates. Should the Malays start to make noise about getting a Malay candidate to represent their interests?

The point is the elected representative is going to represent the whole community not Indian alone. PKR can just grab any candidate the party thinks is suitable to represent the whole community in Bukit Selambau and it’s not necessary must be an Indian. A remark about the candidate Manikumar shows how he is a perfect candidate for a mutltiracial platform like Pakatan Rakyat.

““sounds like a Malay, brought up as an Indian and has a business mind of a Chinese.”

To me, Hindraf leaders are not the suitable candidates to be chosen for the by election, especially to stand for PR. Choosing a Hindraf candidate is not very wise due to the movement’s Hindu-only struggle, as opposed to the Pakatan Rakyat’s struggle.

And, since over 50% of the residents in Bukit Selambau are made up of Malays, it would be unwise to choose an Indian from Hindraf as many Malays are apprehensive of the movement because of the damage done by the one-sided reporting of the MSM. Cheebuy MSM!

I have no idea why these buggers are in PKR if he doesn’t support the party’s struggle to uphold justice and multiracialism. To them it’s all about ‘me, me, me, Indian, Indian, Indian’. Bodoh! Go back to MIC then!

Take a look at Kalainaver. To leave the party and attack it viciously just because he or any other candidate “endorsed” by him was not selected, proves that Kalaivanar is not a suitable candidate for any Pakatan party. When these people are not selected to contest, they start to hammer the party and sow discord within their community.

The decision by PKR to choose a clean, unknown candidate over the experienced ones is one done with a lot of in depth thinking. It is good that the candidate selection process is done wisely, where dubious characters were purged now rather than later. Experience has shown that voters choose the party rather than the candidate.

Voters must rise above these low class self-serving politicians from their community who are only after personal gain.

ps: Although I think PKR’s decision to choose Manikumar as its candidate for Bukit Selambau is a wise move, the same cannot be said about Batang Ai’s candidate – Jawah Gerang . Have you read this report? – Heavy irony in Batang Ai, a remote land of contrasts. How sad, but true.

pss: Very busy, making some arrangements.

psss: No, you don’t know shit about me.

February 5, 2009 marks the saddest day in the history of Malaysia. Greed prevails.

It is final. No dissolution of DUN and BN is most likely to be the new boss in Perak. Politics is dirty and Umno just showed how despicable and dirty it is. People are worrying about the ailing economy and these maggots are celebrating their victory.

It is good that it happened as it is a blessing in disguise. Let’s put few things into perspective.

1) Victory?? Umno/BN must be really dumb to think it is the victor in this latest political drama. PR won big in PRU12, won Permatang Pauh and Kuala Terengganu – all this with huge public support but BN ‘wins’ back Perak and risk losing any remote remaining support from the rakyat for the dirty and ugly tactics – threats and bribes. A Malay saying ‘ayam menang (or menang sorak), kampung tergadai‘ is apt to describe this ‘winning’.

Tengku Razaleigh in his blog put it into perspective how BN will suffer the backlash and contempt if no fresh election is called.

“Angry voters nationwide will reject the BN even more vehemently in the next general election if snap polls are not held in Perak.”

Even Mahathir Mohamad said Umno would only tarnish its image by accepting the defectors.

“We are alienating further the very people we should be trying to win back in the next election,”

Umno lose any remaining speck of credibility (if it has any in the first place) from now on. February 5th will forever be remembered as the dirtiest political gangbang in Malaysia. Yes, Umno wrestled Perak from Pakatan Rakyat, but they will lose everything from now on to talk about intergrity, corruption and reform, because nobody will give a flying fuck about their promises. By not seeking a new vote the BN is irreparably damaging any little chance it had to recoup the March 8 losses.

BN had ultimately sealed its demise. Thanks to half past six, brain damaged BN strategists who panned this out, BN has no redeeming value anymore.

2) Despite overwhelming public sentiments urging for another fresh election, Sultan of Perak – Sultan Azlan Shah instead of respecting the rakyat’s decision calling for the dissolution of the state assembly, he gave his blessing to BN to take over as the new government of Perak. Thousands of comment at the visitor’s book at His Majesty’s website urging for the Ruler dissolve the state assembly and call for a fresh election but greeted with betrayal.

On PRU12 DUN Perak, PR garnered 442,660 votes and BN 399,565 votes (based on popular votes). Thats 43,095 more votes than BN. Denied a new election is so not fair!

3) Yes, it is true that it was Anwar Ibrahim that made ‘defection’ a national famous word. It was the PR oppostion led by him that started all this talks about ‘frogging’ affair. But PR had packaged it in the language of change and that had rung a bell in the hearts of many Malaysians.

On the other hand the BN as the incumbent ruling party is mired in the “old, bad, nasty” ways and for it to engineer defections to overturn a freely elected government is seen by the people as repugnant and despicable.

Right or wrong, logical or not, this is the public perception and perception is the be all and end all — the final arbitrator of a public dispute.

4) Betrayal. To illustrate just how much the public sentiment had changed on March 9 and how angrty and pissed off the public would be at the betrayal of their mandate, we should just look at the winning majority of one of the frogs – Jelapang representative Hee Yit Foong.

In 2004 she won by about a 300 vote majority but in 2008 the majority shot up to over 12,000 – a huge shift in public sentiment.

BN must prepare for the consequences for stealing the state government. The BN is clearly going against the public tide because the voters who gave her such a huge majority are still out there and ready and willing to punish her and the BN for betraying their trust.

It is not surprising to read about people pelting stones at Hee Yit Foong’s house for her betrayal. 12, 000 majority. If each person take a piss at her house compound, her house would sink into the ground! I wonder how she is going to drive around in Jelapang in her new Toyota Camry. Gong Xi Gong Xi Hee Yit Foong!

The individuals who have crossed over and those ready to cross over in the weeks ahead are marked people — marked for derision, contempt and public scorn.

They will not be able to even walk freely in their constituency let alone work and perform their duties by their constituents. In life, we usually treat the unprincipled and dishonest people shabbily and with utter disgust. That is how we should treat these rats.

5) Pakatan Rakyat should be grateful to get rid of these low lifes. This latest affair provided the opportunity for PR to purge these rotten souls back to where they should belong, together with other despicable, scheming characters. Only honest and principled politicians should be in Pakatan Rakyat. (How ironic, since I wrote about political integrity = oxymoron)

All said and done, let’s put this behind us and look forward for better days ahead. *nervous laugh*

ps: Fret not my comrades. We shall win the battle for this is just a Pyrrhic victory by BN - A victory that is offset by staggering losses. The latest revision of this term is ‘Bush victory‘ and in future in Malaysia, we will remember it as ‘Najib victory’. These are the Kings of the Detrimental Victory!

I already foresee an entry in Kamus Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka:

Kemenangan Najib – perumpamaan yang membawa erti kemenangan sia-sia yang akhirnya membawa kemusnahan.

pss: A royal screw that’s what we all got. Very royal and very screwed.

MCA dares DAP on hudud

KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu MCA has asked DAP to clearly state whether it opposes plans by its Pakatan Rakyat partner PAS to implement hudud laws should it ever come to power.

State MCA chairman Toh Chin Yaw said the presence of DAP deputy chairman Dr Tan Seng Giaw during the announcement of the PAS candidate for the Kuala Terengganu by-election at Stadium Negeri on Thurs- day reflected the former’s compromise over the implementation of the Islamic law.

Hello? MCA must be too dumb for not reading their own paper, because many times DAP already said it does not support hudud! How many times DAP needs to make its stand? Didn’t DAP left the informal coalition of PAS, KeADILan and DAP in 2002 soon after PAS proposed to have hudud in Terengganu? Do some research before making any stupid statements.

DAP has made its stand over Islamic state and hudud many times, do it doesn’t need to do it again. But, how about MCA? MCA the party for the sissies and chauvisnists up to now never make any stand in regards to hudud and Islamic state. Quoting RPK in his article:

MCA has not made its stand clear. Can MCA, once and for all, state its stand on Hudud?

MCA, do you or don’t you support Hudud? Speak up now or forever hold your tongue. Are you pro-Islam or anti-Islam? Please tell us now and make it very clear.

Yes! Speak now or forever hold your tongue and be a sissy, pussified party which MCA is doing very well at, all this time. We had enough of your craps, playing to the gallery and manipulating racial and religious issues to divide Malaysians and to make them hate each other. Shame on you, poppycock party with no balls. MCA is only good enough to take care of the longkang and potholes. (and making sex DVDs). Heck, some of you may say MCA did fight for the Chinese, but what they fight for are merely non-important issues.

Dear comrades,

MainStreamMedia (MSM) is spinning like crazy as the date for by-election in Kuala Terengganu is looming. The Star, of course owned by MCA and New Straits Times is owned by Umno. If we are to believe what were reported in these papers for the past weeks and last few days, we must be thinking that:

1) Indian leaders and their supporters have deserted PKR.

2) PKR, DAP and PAS are fighting each other to death and Pakatan Rakyat is going to collapse, anytime soon.

MSM is indeed having a field day, especially when some stupid politicians gave them enough bullets to bite. Pakatan Rakyat MPs should know few things before making any racially related statement or trying to be a Chinese, Indian or Malay’s hero.

1) You are voted in not by Indian or Chinese or Malay votes alone.

Manikavasagam, you are not in because of Indians votes alone. Your constituency, only the make up of Indians voters only 13%, compared to the 52% Malay voters and the remaining 35% Chinese voters. Stop trying to make yourself like an Indian hero and only speak for the Indians. Perhaps, you should read this post and ponder upon your actions.

RPK again put it into perspective:

There is not a single seat in any of the Parliament and State constituencies where there are more than 30% Indian voters in the constituency. Maybe ten seats or so will have roughly 20% Indian voters. But that is about it. This means there is not a single seat in the whole of Malaysia where the Indians form a majority.

You could probably find a few seats where the Chinese form a majority. But it is only a handful of seats and not enough to form even a state government. For Malay-majority seats, however, there are many. Some seats are 97% or 98% Malay. But most hover around 70% to 90%. Putrajaya is 98% Malay, Kuala Terengganu is 89%, Permatang Pauh is 79%; just to name a few.

2) You are voted in to do exactly what you promised, not to ape BN’s way of doing things, especially when those are the acts/things that put them out of office and gave you the chance to perform.

What is this PR to discuss ‘politicians for council presidents’ proposal? Has PR forgotten that’s one of the reason corruptions are rampant under the previous state governments where local councils are nothing but running dogs for greedy, selfish politicians? Do you understand the “concept of separation of powers?” It is open for abuse if the proposal is to be implemented. Dr Rafick has written 2 very good posts on this issue here and here.

What’s the difference between this proposal with BN’s much despised way of doing things if PR is going to do the same? What good people vote for them hoping for a change from the old guards’ policies?? I am still waiting for the much repeated promise by PR of having local council election in PR ruled state governments to take place. So much hoohaaballoo prior to the general election, so how is the proposal now?

If you need time, tell us and maybe we can wait because we are kind people but assure us with plans and proposals to make it a reality. Refrain from making too much empty talks and excuses, your time may be running out faster than you think. Just FARKING DO IT!

Remember, the power lies with the voters. Every politician should know what it means.

ps: MCA – Mainly Cowards Association?

pss: PAS, it is not that hard to clear the confusion over the hudud issue. Make it a clear, hard cold fact – hudud is only for Muslims. Firmly state that hudud is only intended to steer Muslims to follow the Islamic path and and would not act in ways to interfere with Non-Muslims religious rights in any means. Noktah Hitam wrote a good post on this.

psss: Thanks to MSMs, Raja Sumpah (the original one, before Saiful took over) is making his appearance again, but without his 6 magic boxes. Hmm.. why only muncul during by-elections? A scientist recently discovered an extemely rare species:

Ezamitus Nor – This double headed snake is known to appear only at by-election periods. Perfectly harmless. Spits venom but other excreting a foul smell, its venom is perfectly harmless, especially to opposition members.

One of the very few columnists that I like in The Star is Huzir Sulaiman. This guy has good sense of humor and I enjoyed reading his articles in his regular column ‘Wide Angle’. Who is Huzir Sulaiman you ask?

Huzir Sulaiman (born in 1973) is a Malaysian actor, director and writer. One of Malaysia’s leading dramatists, acclaimed for his vibrant, inventive use of language and incisive insight into human behavior in general and the Asian psyche in particular. His plays, often charged with dark humor, political satire, and surrealistic twists, have won numerous awards and international recognition. He currently lives in Singapore.

(Wikipedia)

Now, if you are wondering what happened to his missing article yesterday in his regular Sunday column has got to, well it has been spiked. The article that he wrote was deemed ‘too sensitive’ for the ‘politically correct’ The Star and had to be spiked.

Quoting him:

I am bemused to learn that my editors felt unable to run this fortnight’s Wide Angle. I find it very funny because this week’s column is much lighter and more frothy than some of the other things that have gone through. … I have therefore taken this opportunity to use this spiked piece to inaugurate my blog.

(Source: Bibliobibuli)

Herewith the column by Huzir written for the Sunday Star of 21/9/2008 which was spiked by the paper as being “too sensitive”!

*************************************************************

The Malaysian Political Oscars!
Our political situation is like something out of a movie – so here are the awards. The envelope, please…

The Wide Angle Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, headquartered for no particular reason in Skudai, presents this year’s Malaysian Political Oscars.

The most widely watched television event in Malaysia, the Political Oscar telecast reaches over 1 billion viewers, some of whom are dead, some of whom are 130 years old, and most of whom are registered at the same address.

How does it work? Members of the academy (all Malaysian taxi drivers who despite being allegedly the worst in the world at driving taxis are remarkably good at political analysis) vote on these awards, and the results are tabulated by the auditors of some large accounting firm who would rather do this sort of thing than real accounting work, which might explain the state of the economy.

Here are the nominees and winners.

Best Supporting Actor
It is a crowded field this year, with many stellar performances from both veterans and newcomers.

The nominees include private investigator P. Balasubramaniam in Missing; Pusrawi’s Dr. Mohd Osman in Rear Window; Zaid Ibrahim in Gone in Sixty Seconds; and Raja Petra Kamaruddin in An Inconvenient Truth.

But the Best Supporting Actor Oscar goes to Penang Umno leader Ahmad Ismail for his controversial performance in Pride and Prejudice.

Despite his recent success, which led to him being cast in Under Siege and Raging Bull, Ahmad has flatly refused roles in the films Anger Management and Atonement.

Best Supporting Actress
For her critically-acclaimed performance in Minority Report, this year’s Best Supporting Actress Oscar goes to Sinchew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng.

Interestingly, immediately after that film completed principal photography, Tan was the unwitting star of Catch and Release, a film that may or may not have been directed by Syed Hamid Albar, depending on which version of the studio press kit you read.

Tan spent just 18 hours on location, before quitting, citing creative differences.

Best Cinematography
For his impactful camera work in the V.K. Lingam vehicle The Conversation, the Oscar for Cinematography goes to Gwo Loh Burne.

(Although The Conversation was shot some time ago, due to his refusal to be credited for many months, Gwo Loh Burne could not be given the award earlier. When he finally came forward, this legal thriller was re-released in some markets as The Burne Identity.)

The Conversation beat out Entrapment, starring Chua Soi Lek, which also features an anonymous cinematographer.

Best Foreign-Language Film
Agricultural Study Tour, a Taiwanese sleeper hit, was shot entirely by coincidence, supposedly with no director and no funding.

Nonetheless, a sequel, Exile on My Taiwanese Farm: Peeling my Taugeh might be filmed next year with some of the original cast.

Best Original Screenplay
Jumper, written by Anwar Ibrahim, wins this year’s award. Although the film suffers from a cast of unknowns, whose number seems to fluctuate from scene to scene (though always at least 31), the script is undeniably original and exciting. It also has the potential for numerous sequels, which will prove profitable for the actors.

Best Adapted Screenplay
Written by a team of in-house screenwriters from the Attorney-General’s Studios, The Accused, starring Anwar Ibrahim, is allegedly adapted from instructions given by political superiors. A remake of the 1998 flop, but with many of the same actors and production team.

Best Actress
Seputeh Member of Parliament Teresa Kok was competing against herself this year with sterling performances in a slew of releases: Election; Woman on Top; Supergirl; and, in cinemas until last Friday, the black comedy Enemy of the State.

She wins the Best Actress Oscar, however, for her most famous role, Miss Congeniality, which has earned her praise from audiences and critics alike.

Best Actor
The big stars of yesteryear dominated the Best Actor category this year.

Nominees include S. Samy Vellu in Gone With The Wind; Dr. Mahathir Mohamed in V for Vendetta; and both Najib Tun Razak and Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in the comedy Trading Places.

The winner, however, of the Malaysian Political Oscar for Best Actor is Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for his flawless, nuanced, masterful performance in Eyes Wide Shut.

Best Picture
The nominees for Best Picture in the Malaysian Political Oscars are all gripping epics.

They include the moving story of the many members of Parti Sosialis Malaysia, The Magnificent Seven; the Khairy Jamaluddin biopic Million Dollar Baby; the Hindraf saga, Out for Justice; and the tale of Gerakan in the Barisan Nasional, The End of the Affair.

The winner for Best Picture, however, is the story of the MCA’s struggle against the Internal Security Act, Look Who’s Talking Now.

Lifetime Achievement Award
For his astonishing film career spanning many decades, and including both commercial hits and small but critically-acclaimed art-house movies, Anwar Ibrahim wins the Lifetime Achievement Award.

His roles, in chronological order, include: Wild at Heart; The Young Guns; The Great Debaters; Sleeping With The Enemy; The Insider; The Sweet Smell of Success; Reversal of Fortune; Cast Away; The Accused; The Cell; Cry Freedom!; Into the Wild; Back to the Future; Mission: Impossible; The Perfect Storm; and, most recently, Eastern Promises.

Depending on the outcome of contract negotiations, Anwar’s next movies may include The King and I; Top Gun; and Great Expectations.

Alternatively, he may take roles in Crash; The Departed; and The Forgotten. That’s the thing about show business – you never know what the big stars will do next!

That’s all for this year’s edition of the Malaysian Political Oscars. See you on the red carpet next year!

*************************************************************

Thanks to Huzir for publishing his article at his newly registered blog – ‘Wide Angle‘. Let’s extend him a big welcome to the blogosphere.

Now this is a piece of work!! Pity how much many Malaysians missed out, because of that spike. Stupid The Star, it has denied Malaysians the right to laugh at ourselves. Hey, Wong Chun Wai, is that you that spiked the article? Your article is not funny (often singing praises and glories about the government) and you got jealous? HA! HA! HA!

If there is anything that Malaysians (Asians as well) lack of, it is the ability to make fun and laugh at ourselves. That is why we are being sensitive for no convincing reason, when are we going to get ’sensitized?’

Huzir probably should include more categories such as:

*************************************************************

Best Local Movie

List of nomines:

Jangan Main Belakang starring Saiful Bukhari (Main Actor) and Anwar Ibrahim(Supporting Actor)

Zombie Kampung Pisang starring Shaberry Cheek for his brilliant of potrayal of foamy mouth, reminds you of hungry zombie.

Best TV Shows

List of nominees:

Jangan Tidur Lagi with Best Host: Anwar Ibrahim and Best Guest: Abdullah Ahmad Badawi;

Seekers, a a series where a group of people go searching for and trying to prove the existence of things that are not there, starring PDRM Special Branch boys;

Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah with Best Editor: Tun Dr Mahathir for his selective portrayal of Malaysian history.

*************************************************************

We need to have the most sensational, star glittering Oscar in Malaysia so keep your suggestions coming, people!!!

ps: Thanks to bunch of friends at Facebook Group for their creative suggestions.

I am out of fire lately. I really do not know what to write. Bashing the government again? They are beaten to a pulp, so no point keep doing so. Let them dig their own grave and we bury them easy.

To be honest I am quite sick of Malaysian politics now. Same old story. Up to this day, BN still yet to wake up from their slumber and like usual, putting the blame on anyone but BN for their lose in recent election. One month after election, BN especially Umno appears to be still groping, unsure of what exactly has hit them.

Umno especially, never learn from their mistakes. One veteran politician in Umno obvious still living in the past and denial when he invokes the fear of “loosing political control to non-Malays”. He theorises that Penang, Perak and Selangor are already under non-Malay control. He arrives at this conclusion by numerically adding the non-Malays in PKR to those in DAP in the respective state governments.

This narrow interpretation of racial power is both illogical and unhelpful in forging racial integration. Malaysians are sick of racial politics! Especially it is twisted to benefit certain elite group in the society and hence many Malaysians reject the concept by BN where each ethnic must vote for a representative from the ethnic itself in order to have a ‘balanced’ representation in the government and decision making. Chinese – MCA, Indian – MIC and Malay – Umno. From what we see up to now, BN still in denial and clueless of what made nearly 50% of Malaysians voted against them.

This is some interesting statistics for Malaysia’s General Election 2008 if you do not already read it.

1. BN’s share of the popular vote in the peninsula actually dipped below the 50 per cent mark. The BN received just 49.8 per cent of the popular votes cast. For the whole country, the BN bagged 51.5 per cent of votes cast as more than 60 per cent of the residents of Sabah and Sarawak opted for its component parties. On the other hand, more than than 60 per cent of voters in KL and Penang voted for the Opposition’s parliamentary candidates.

2. More than half of the Malaysian population (52 per cent) live in areas where the Opposition triumphed – the five states under Opposition rule plus the Federal Territory of KL, which the Opposition swept as well. These areas accounted for 63 per cent of the total ballots issued.

3. These areas also account for 47 per cent of the bumiputera population. If only the ethnic Malays are considered, then 57 per cent of the Malay population now live in these Opposition areas. In addition, almost three quarters of Indian Malaysians reside in these areas.

4. In terms of economic wealth, these states account for 56 per cent of the country’s GDP. (Calculations based on figures obtained from the Mid-term Review of the Eigth Malaysia Plan.)

5. The Opposition-held areas include three of the wealthiest regions (in terms of per capita income) – KL, Selangor and Penang (though it must be noted that income disparities are wide) – and the two poorest states, Kelantan and Kedah.”

BN is sunk due to atrocious mismanagement of the country, not due to the Internet or what ever shits. It is not about Chinese votes, Indian votes, Malay votes, protest votes, bloggers, Internet but BN incompetence itself. No one is a bigger enemy to you but yourself. Idiots never learn I must say. Well, let them be.

On the not very encouraging reports of Pakatan Rakyat especially their bickering in Perak, Selangor and Penang over the representations in the new government these people must understand we voted for them not because Indians want an Indian exco to represent them and protect their interest, and Chinese vice versa. We voted for them to take care of all Malaysians regardless of race and religion.

So those who still think along the racial representation can F-off or join Barisan Nasional. We do not care and we never want these kind of leaders anymore. Anyway, I think it is fair enough to give 100 days to the new governments of Pakatan Rakyat in the five states to do whatever they need to do, spring cleaning, settle what ever problems they may have and start judging them later.

This is a freaking funny article by TV Smith.

Famous Last Words

bongkersz : Retards, have no mercy for them.

The hottest issue in the blogosphere and Malaysia (maybe the whole world) is ‘Math genius who turned life to vice’. Many blogs I went to blogged about it. Even in Facebook, there is a group created to ’save’ her – Misi Selamatkan Sufiah! We also have politicians to embark on a mission to ‘guide her to to right path’ (Ha! Ha! Ha! Funny shiet!) I quote :

“Zahid Hamidi, the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, said that they are interested to assist Ms Yusof to return to the right path through the “Save Sufiah Program.”

As usual, our government being not very smart up there, squealed to the opportunity to play ‘good guy’ without even thinking properly. This is crap, what we can offer to help her? Do we understand the environment she grew up with? The lifestyle they have? Why help her not others? Why dont we help those girls here first? We have the same problem here but we not looking into it. Why? Because Malaysian politicians are just too nosy (kepoh!!) and have nothing better to do!

Save those prostitutes, drug addicts, mat rempits, drop outs, beggars, unemployed graduates in this country 1st. Go to Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman or Lorong Haji Taib. (No I never been there ha ha!) Not forgetting there are plenty homeless, poor folks to help. Watch “Bersamamu’ on TV3 and you know what I am saying. Kuman di seberang laut jelas kelihatan, gajah depan mata tak nampak. Bahlol sungguh! What a joke!

The cost is too hefty. Government officials travel on business class say RM25k per person. 5 ppl? Is not this money better spent to help girls who is forced into prostitution? Those who need help are whom are forced but have desire to change. She voluntary involve herself to be a whore and proud of it. I quote :

“People think escorting is sleazy and terrible but I don’t see it like that,” she says. “I’ve always had a high sex drive—and now I’m getting all the sex I want—and guys are much better in bed with an escort than a girlfriend.

“I don’t have any regrets. I’ve never felt more confident about my body and I’ve had some of the best sex of my life.”

(source :http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/0604_hooker.shtml)

Well, this is how we can help her :

1. Send a whore who has been in the same position and realized she made a mistake and change her life 180 degree. They have more in common to relate.

2. Leave her and her family alone. The last thing they want is to be a national agenda of country they not a citizen of.

She will come to her senses. In two years, she will get herself out. She just making time for her lost childhood. She wants help, she will ask for it. Just leave her alone.

I am flabbergasted. For all the hard work and efforts rallying people around Barisan Rakyat, it only take 3 days for DAP, well I should say YB Lim Kit Siang to ruin it all. I am sure many of us aware of the debacle around the candidates for Perak Menteri Besar. The result is final; a candidate from PAS will be the MB. I quote :

“The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah has consented to the appointment of Mohammad Nizar, 51, who is Perak PAS secretary, as the state’s 10th Menteri Besar, after the three parties submitted three names – Perak DAP chairman Ngeh Koo Ham, 47; Perak PKR treasurer Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi, 52; and Nizar, for the post.

Mohammad Nizar, who won the Pasir Panjang seat in the election, said Raja Dr Nazrin Shah conveyed the Sultan’s consent when the three leaders met him (Raja Dr Nazrin) at Istana Kinta.”

Now, what LKS did after the decision was announced? He wrote a post in his blog saying the DAP central executive committee (CEC) has not given any approval for the formation of a Perak coalition by PAS and called for a boycott of the Perak MB swearing in ceremony today. I quote LKS is his typical confrontational style :

“The DAP CEC has given approval for the formation of a Perak coalition government headed by DAP or PKR but not by PAS.”

Lim said DAP leaders, members and supporters are shocked at the decision to appoint a PAS assemblyman as Perak MB.

“DAP is prepared to accept DAP chairman and assemblyman for Sitiawan Ngeh Koo Ham or PKR Behrang assemblyman Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi as Perak Mentri Besar. “As the appointment of Mohamad Nizar as Perak Mentri Besar representing the third and smallest political party in the proposed coalition has not received the mandate of the CEC, DAP Perak assemblymen will stay away from the swearing-in ceremony for Perak Mentri Besar scheduled Thursday.”

Now, do we need a statement like this at this time? When all Malaysians is hoping the Barisan Rakyat (BR) consists of PKR, DAP and PAS to stand united against Barisan Nasional? Malaysians just want to see unity among BR above the rest.

I personally think LKS is getting old and probably lose his touch on reading the sentiments on the ground. He probably did it to please his hardcore Chinese supporters for fearing the backlash DAP will receive if DAP agree to the appointment. He probably think Chinese voters will take it as DAP is working with PAS, the very party that is advocating Islamic rule and law. But, I think LKS got it all wrong this time.

1. DAP Perak already announced that any decision by the Sultan will be honoured. In his statement, state DAP chief, Ngeh Koo Ham said :

“All parties within the coalition have jointly agreed on the submission of the three names for his decision.

“We would like to impress upon the people that all three parties have unanimously agreed to fully endorse whichever candidate is chosen,” he said at the Perak DAP headquarters.

So why LKS came out with this statement after the decision is announced? Any objection from DAP CEC should be done before the Sultan’s decision, not after. LKS should know better how important it is to honour an agreement, and now he is doing the exactly opposite?! And what happened to the approval given by DAP CEC for the formation of Perak coalition government on the 9th March 2008? :

“The DAP Central Executive Committee, at its emergency meeting in Penang on Sunday, 9th March 2008, had given approval for the formation of a Perak coalition government comprising 18 DAP Assembly members, seven PKR Assemblymen and six PAS Assemblymen.”

Who is hypocrite now? MCA? MIC? UMNO? It makes no different if DAP is going to pursue this path.

2. DAP is still haunted by the ghost of 1999 when DAP lose most of the seats it contested, and feedback from the ground was that the voters punished DAP for working with PAS, especially even after PAS announced its Islamic State Document (ISD). So could it be DAP still suspicious of PAS? Nah, if it is true that back then in 1999 election, the non-Muslim especially Chinese voters walked away because they distrust PAS, the sentiment among the voters in 2008 election is totally opposite!!! The winning factor for BR is due to PAS toning down on their Islamist agenda making it easier for non-Muslims to vote for PAS.

To be honest, without PAS, Barisan Rakyat can never have Kedah, Perak and Selangor! If it’s not for Non-Muslim, Chinese and Indian voters who voted for PAS against UMNO, we wouldn’t have gotten so many states. And PAS has toned down their Islamic agenda so why DAP is still suspicious of PAS? DAP never able to do much dent to BN until now, until BR coalition is here. DAP on its own can dream on to wrestle those states from BN. It is PKR and PAS extra seats that give BR the majority in both Perak and Selangor. DAP only win in their traditional strong seats, plus few new seats in these 2 areas. I would say thanks to PKR acting as a middle man between PAS and DAP. And thanks to PAS for toning down their Islamic state rhetoric. Now, what DAP did to BR?

Like I said, LKS totally misjudge the voter’s mood this time around. What he wants? Losing relevance to a small group of narrow minded Chinese supporters or risk losing a majority support of a country?

3. By issuing this statement and boycotting the swearing in ceremony, it reinforces the perception of Malays that DAP is still Chinese chauvinist party, never change. Always crapping about all Malaysians Malaysia party, but the action proves otherwise. Cakap tak serupa bikin. Now, thanks to BN, UMNO has more bullets than they need to blast DAP and the coalition of BR. Read MSM today, The Star, NST all front page. Is that what you want? On top of that, the biggest mistake by LKS is, this will be interpreted as DAP showing disrespect to the Sultan. Not going to the swearing in ceremony of the MB would look like a mark of disrespect to the Sultan’s invitation. That is a very serious offence. This very approach will indirectly read by people on the ground especially the Malay voters as vehemently insult the Sultan. And the decision was made by Raja Nazrin Shah, a royalty that has his heart for the people. He is much a wise and very highly educated man, so we should trust him to know what he is doing.

My take is LKS opposes and boycotts certain issues too quickly sometimes, and his in your face attitude and propensity to shout too much actually does more harm than good. I hope I am wrong. I hope this is just another sandiwara, wayang just like the Fong Po Kuan nomination fiasco the other day, who by her abstaining from DAP nomination, tricked BN into endorsing her performance in the parliament. Anyway the damage is done. MSM is having a field day publishing this, BR especially DAP need to work harder to gain and maintain the confidence of the very people that voted them to office.

ps : I actually not intended to post this up, I have another post for today but I feel I need to say something as a supporter of Barisan Rakyat, I dread to see any of them making the wrong move.

Pss : I lost all my phone contact numbers due to some stupid problems with my mobile. I hard formatted it, so everything is gone. Those with my numbers, please send me a message with your name ? Thank you!

Updated 11.15am :

Okay, he apologized, read it at Malaysiakini and his blog. Anyway, damage is done, now let’s move on.
