Adakah kita semua tanpa mengira bangsa keturunan, agama, muda tua, miskin kaya, parti politik bersama-sama bergembira menantikan datangnya hari bersejarah 31 Ogos?
I have been tagged by drumsticks the other day. Here it goes.. (I copied Cibol’s style.. for me so lazy and dumb to think of things right now… haha! Sorry dude, plagiarism Oh ya Mar, your tag.. tunggu dulu lah.. what’s the tag again? haha!)
Here are the rules:
1. Each blogger must post these rules up first.
2. Each blogger starts with eight things about them that they think people don’t really know
3. Bloggers that are tagged need to respond to the tag through their own blog. At the end of your post, you need to choose eight people to be tagged.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’ve been tagged, and read your blog.

2. I cannot swim. Yes.. I can’t, I try but I still suck at it. But I can dive.. so what? I cannot swim but I still took up kayaking for my extra curricular subject during my uni time. Muahaha!! Yes, I flipped myself into the water at Sungai Tebrau during an kayaking expedition but with the life jacket on.. nothing to afraid.. hehe!
3. I may be a damn good barber/hair stylist if I had choosed it as a profession.. I used to cut hair for hostel friends and man, I hate Tuesday night back then. Because on Wednesday morning we would have school assembly and after the assembly students would get checked for long nails.. shirts.. hairs.. bla bla shits you will undergo as a student.
So typically on Tuesday night I would be busy cutting head hair. Huge demand.. normal la, where to find a handsome, suave and skillful barber at hostel.. if not me muahaha! Sometimes I went hiding because I felt boring doing it.. And I especially hate this one friend.. every one or two weeks he would want a hair cut. Fark.. so much hair to cut meh?? (I think you know the guy yeah Cibol? Hehe.. Abang ‘hensem’ itu la….)
4. I love reading. The thicker, the more complicated the storyline, twists here and there the more I like it. Sci fi, thriller, crime, courtroom, political novels are some of the genre I love most. Normally when travelling I will get myself a book to read during the journey, waiting at airport, while in bus to kill time. I pretty much read everything actually not just books and novels…. Oh, I read Cleo as well..
5. I played guitar for Inter School Christian Fellowship (ISCF) service back then when I was studying in Kolej T.D.T.H Bujang. And I never step into a church since I went to uni, until now. I consider myself an free thinker. But I do believe in the existence of higher power out there.. A liberal maybe? I don’t give a crap with the classifications, liberal, leftist, radical, ultra.. The only thing I will say is everything that I do I answer only to HIM, no anyone else. And if He’s really there.. He will understand for He knows it all.. Right? This may sound offending to some of you reading this, I am sorry. My bad, my limited lingual capability and apprehension that worded it in such a way that it may be offending to you.
6. My favourite snacks are : Mister Potato potato chips, Dahfa dried fish, MIMI prawn flavoured snack, Spicy Brood Peas, WISE Cottage Fries Tomato flavoured potato chips. Hehe.. I don’t mind getting it on my birthday.. Haha!
7. I am a tv freak. Or movie freak? Just that day a friend came from Johor, stayed at my house commented, wah you really watch 3 dvds straight from lunch time till now? (It was dinner time when he asked..) I can spend my whole day.. maybe weeks flipping the channel. Lol even with just 5 channels on tv my ass is glued to the couch. What more if Astro… What a boring guy heh? Or easy to please.. haha! Some of the movies that I consider my favourites.. Fight Club, Se7en, The Green Mile, The Last of the Mohicans, Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, There’s Something About Mary, The Shawshank Redemption, Remember The Titans, The Silence of the Lambs.. there are more.. but guess that’s enough for now
8. My favourite song currently is Hey There Delilah by Plain White T’s..
“Hey There Delilah”
Hey there Delilah
What’s it like in New York City?
I’m a thousand miles away
But girl tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can’t shine as bright as you
I swear it’s true
Hey there Delilah
Don’t you worry about the distance
I’m right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice it’s my disguise
I’m by your side
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
What you do to me
Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me girl
Someday I’ll pay the bills with this guitar
We’ll have it good
We’ll have the life we knew we would
My word is good
Hey there Delilah
I’ve got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I’d write it all
Even more in love with me you’d fall
We’d have it all
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they’ve got planes and trains and cars
I’d walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we’ll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you’re to blame
Hey there Delilah
You be good and don’t you miss me
Two more years and you’ll be done with school
And I’ll be making history like I do
You’ll know it’s all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here’s to you
This ones for you
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
Oh it’s what you do to me
What you do to me.
I received a sms from a friend yesterday afternoon…
‘life is so fragile n filled with unexpectancy…. dear bros and siss… live everyday as if its ur last day… live 2 de fullest of life 4 u n ur Love ones!!’
I thought it was just another forwarded sms although sounded a bit weird coming from that friend, so I disregard it and do my own things… And last night, I checked my phone there was a missed call from another friend who tried to call me around 1am. I was driving back from cyberia and serdang after sending cibol and rory, so I thought oh nothing lah.. tomorrow morning I will call him back. And this morning I received a shocking news. A good friend of us was found dead, believed to be slashed and repeatedly assaulted yesterday morning. I couldn’t believe him and I kept asking him “Is this for real? Not some kind of sick joke you guys are playing right?”
Man, I just talked to the guy last Sunday. And still smsed him on Monday and Tuesday asking for some price quotations. We always had our dinner together. He was staying alone and I hate eating outside alone so most of the time I just ‘tapao’ but he always asked me to join him for dinner so we could chit chat, crap about life.. friends.. future plans.. And now he’s gone forever… May his soul be blessed.. I miss you dude
Let us learn to appreciate life and people around us more often. They say you don’t appreciate what you have until you no longer have it. How true.. Many times we don’t appreciate things and people until they are no longer a part of our lives. When we are in need, it is easy to get all religious(pray like never before), make promises, all in the name of getting our need satisfied. But, do we remember to show appreciation to those who help solve our needs? No matter how happy you get, never forget to be gratefully to those who made it happen, those who make you smile, those who challenged you to grow. You never know when they wont be around anymore. It cant be too early to show appreciation but can be too late.
“Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you.
Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.” Ralph Marston
I was flipping through today’s NST when I saw this. On Prime News section page 6:
‘No plan to call student back’
Check out the last paragraph.
‘Namawee was also said to have given the impression that the police force was corrupt and civil servants were slow in serving the people.‘Well, is that new for you? He just echoed what we said all this while. Ask any Malaysians out there. Go to the street, I bet my ass they share the same opinion. Oh, actually I think he did make a mistake. It should be ‘the police force IS corrupt and civil servants ARE slow in serving the people AND JUST AS CORRUPT. Right? Don’t you think so? Don’t Cha?
p/s: man.. I am thinking to do a satirical Don’t Cha song about things Malaysians talk about all the time… but of course I am just not that talented as that Muar guy, so I spare you guys…
